  2. Okay, Troopers, it's time for another contest! We are asking those of you with mad artistic/design talents to come up with the official FISD "EIB March to 1000" patch design. Here are the details: 1. The competition will begin Oct. 16th and will run until Nov.13th, at which time a poll will be opened so that everyone can vote on the design they like best. 2. There is no limit to the number of designs you can enter, and the shape can be round, chevron, etc. 3. You are welcome (and encouraged) to copy the E.I. logo at the bottom of this post to incorporate into your design. 4. All entries become the property of the FISD. 5. Winner will be announced in the December NL. The winner will receive a free patch of their design and 501st car decal along with some other cool swag, (including a set of Disney Imperial Binders) but most importantly, serious bragging rights! We are also working on an exclusive coin for EIs only to coincide with the patch, so if you are considering taking your armor to the next level now is the time to get those EI submissions in! 4. It's most likely an angle issue resulting on me having to use a webcam for the pictures. Each end is about 16.5mm in width when i measured it. My concern about the coverstrips remains the amount of overhang. I have cut it so you can't see the return edges, but I can't get it to quite match what I see in some pictures of completed kits. For the camera reason, I will not try to mess around to get a picture of it on my arm. However, there is enough of a gap for my finger to squeeze in and I believet that is the test for the sizing being correct.

  5. That is a nice looking gun. Could you tell me where I could get myself one of these kits? I can't seem to find a sale's thread. Thanks!

  6. Hi all, Got a few little parts added today. I’ve taken to using bolts and removing the head. I can then screw that part/s into place before gluing. Here’s some update pics. It’s nice to see more parts on my blaster than on the shelf next to my workspace. Means I must be getting closer to he finish line. :-) Cheers, Dan :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Thanks for the comments everyone. Here is my ruling based on feedback, source material, and also having made CRLs for 10 years and realizing that L1 isn't meant to be "perfect" (it certainly isn't Legion wide), e.g. L1 should be consistent to other TK and non-TK costumes in the Legion. 1. Neckseal: I'm allowing ribs for L1, and not for L2 2. Armor: weathering is now L2 3. Forearm: I'll remove the # of segments, people can see if it "looks right" from the picture. The OT TK CRL doesn't mention the number of raised boxes anywhere either, not on the belt, arms, thigh ammo pack. Nowhere. 4. Back plate: I'll allow overlap on L1, but not L2+. ANH TK's are the same. 5. Boots : Yes, regular OT TK boots are fine for L1 6. Grey Lines: Yes, we should mention this as needed. Please lmk if I missed anywhere. 7. Added pauldrons. OT ones are OK for L1. 8. The stickers is relating to back in the day FX kits came with metallic stickers to simulate the metal hooks we use now. It's a legacy item I can remove.

  8. Personalty I have no issue with the colour of the leather straps. Its not specific in the CRL so you have nothing to worry about there. Thanks for your patience Gary, I am working on your application now and will be with you as soon as possible.

  10. I'm not sure what area Conway is in, but your best bet would be to get in touch with both Garrisons that are located in Arkansas, Christian, (links below). You will have to register/sign in and introduce yourself in the "new members" section, where you can ask which is closest. Some may have a contact person, and you can post your question on their boards. You should also introduce yourself here in the New Member Introductions thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/5-new-member-introductions/. You can also ask any questions you want there. we are here to help! Diamond Garrison: http://ar501st.com/ Star Garrison: http://www.stargarrison.com/forums/forum.php
