Doggydoc[Staff] Posted May 6, 2025 Report Posted May 6, 2025 Hi Zachary. Thank you for your patience while we worked on your review. There are a few things that we will require before we go ahead with your EIB approval. Hopefully these will be fairly easy fixes for you and we will have your EIB status soon. Working our way down from the helmet, here are the corrections that we are requesting. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Helmet We are going to need you to do some touch ups on the paint on your vocoder. We would like to see a uniform black area with no clumping of paint and no white showing through. A few minutes of light sanding and some new paint will make a huge difference to the overall look of this focal piece of the costume. References Chest Armour The bottom corners of your chest armour are flaring out somewhat and should sit tighter to the abdominal plate. This should be a fairly simple fix with minor reshaping with a hot water bath. References Abdomen We are going to need you to do some touching up of the paint on the Ab buttons. Several of the buttons are painted too small. In addition, the paint appears "lumpy" Several thin coats will look better than very thick and clumpy coats. References Thermal Detonator The control panel on the thermal detonator should be facing backwards. This can be corrected by carefully opening the curve on the bottom of the clips to allow the thermal detonator to roll downward and thereby positioning the control panel so that it faces backwards. CRL L1: The white control panel raised ribbed pad faces the rear, with the controls/round washer style detail closest to the right end cap. Lower Leg Armour Your Sniper knee plate is positioned perfectly on the inner side of the shin armour but is sitting below the shin ridge on the outer aspect. CRL L2: Sniper knee plate must be aligned with the ridges on the shin. References General Fit and strapping There are a few areas that we would like to see adjusted for your Expert Infantry approval. 1. Your belt that is being used to hold up the thigh armour is a bit too obvious with the 2 large loops being present. Some adjustments to the belt system will be needed to have it sit a bit higher and hide underneath the abdominal armour plate. 2. The overall positioning of your chest armour is a bit crooked. Some modifications to the strapping, or care when dressing to ensure everything lining up is recommended. 3. Your shoulder straps are not symmetrical in positioning over the tabs on the back plate. This may simply be caused by the chest piece being crooked, or may require slight adjustment to the position in which they are attached to the chest piece. 1 Quote

stormztrooper1[TK] Posted June 15, 2025 Author Report Posted June 15, 2025 It was to show that the shoulder strap was fixed and vocoder repainted. Quote
stormztrooper1[TK] Posted June 26, 2025 Author Report Posted June 26, 2025 I was wondering if there is anything else you need for my review for my EIB Status Quote
Doggydoc[Staff] Posted June 28, 2025 Report Posted June 28, 2025 My apologies Zachary, this completely fell off of my radar. I will be with you as soon as possible. 1 Quote
Doggydoc[Staff] Posted July 3, 2025 Report Posted July 3, 2025 Hi Zachary, thank you for your patience and I apologize again for taking so long to get back to you. You have done a great job on the corrections that we asked for but I am going to need just a bit more work on the abdomen button panels. The paint should be smooth and yours is still textured. I suspect you will need to sand everything smooth and then just apply thin coats and slowly build the paint up. The size of the buttons is much better now. References On the new photos, your posterior plate is flaring out at the front right corner. You may need to add some strapping there to keep it in place, or as many have done previously, secure it with a V tab clip. References With respect to the overall suit up, we are seeing quite a bit of wrinkling in the undersuit between the thighs and the posterior plate and at the elbows in the back. When dressing for the next set of photos, please make sure that the undersuit is pulled tight over these areas. References For you thighs, they are sitting a bit too low in the latest suit up and the strapping should be adjusted slightly to pull them up a bit. References 1 Quote
stormztrooper1[TK] Posted July 13, 2025 Author Report Posted July 13, 2025 I worked on redoing the buttons. I sanded the buttons down flat Quote

Doggydoc[Staff] Posted July 14, 2025 Report Posted July 14, 2025 Thank you for the corrections @stormztrooper1. I fixed your posts to direct links for you, so the photos show on the post. Now we just need you to suit up again with the strapping and under suit adjustments, so we can see that the armor is all sitting properly (see above comments) and we will be good to complete your review. Doggydoc[Staff] Posted July 23, 2025 Report Posted July 23, 2025 Hi Zachary, and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Helmet Ideally the line joining the screws on the ears will be in line with the back of the rear angle of the trap above them. CRL L3: Ideally, placement of ears (and screws) should closely follow the rear angle of the trap above them This issue will not affect approval as there is variation in the shape of helmet and ear pieces between armour types. It is merely mentioned as something to increase screen accuracy. References Your helmet is also sitting a bit high. For a more screen accurate look, we would suggest lowering it a bit. This can be done by removing some of the padding at the top of the helmet. In many cases, it may also improve your vision. References Shoulder Straps The elastic on your left shoulder strap is pulling out slightly. This may be corrected with some velcro between the ABS shoulder strap and the elastic one. Back Armor Please pay close attention when dressing to ensure that the back and kidney armor pieces are not overlapping. If this is a regular occurrence, some adjustments to the strapping may need to be made. References Lower Leg Armour For a more accurate screen appearance, you may wish to cut the sniper knee plate on an angle and not a curve References *************************************************** Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Shoulder Straps Your shoulder straps should be aligned in the middle of the tab of the back armor and should be symmetrical. This may be a dressing issue , or some adjustments may need to be made to the positioning of the straps to align them better. References Forearms You have done a great job removing the return edge on the wrist side of the forearms but there is still a small amount that could be removed. CRL L3: No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. References We would also like to see the sizing on the forearms reduced slightly to fit a bit tighter on your forearm, as yours are just a little bit too large. Please pay attention to ensure that they taper narrower at the wrist. References Abdomen The button plates on your abdomen have been cut with rounded corners. These should be square corners. CRL L3: Plate does not overlap the edges of this area and shall show a definite straight cut edge around all sides. References Your Han snap should be sitting a bit closer to the corner portion of the Abdominal plate. This will take a bit of effort to move but can be done by filling the original hole with ABS paste and repositioning the snap as shown below. CRL L3: A single male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate is present. For centurion level approval, you will need to add the rivets to the left side of the abdomen and kidney pieces. CRL L3: Three rivets, approximately 5/16"(8mm) diameter, are present on the left side of the abdomen armor. /Three rivets, approximately 5/16"(8mm) diameter, are present on the left side of the kidney plate. References Belt Your right drop box is positioned perfectly, but the left is a bit forward. The belt boxes should align with the end of the ammo belt. A small amount of E6000 to hold the elastic suspending the belt in place can help with ensuring proper positioning. CRL L3: Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. References The cut angles at the ends of the ABS belt should line up with the edges of the canvas belt. Some minor trimming will be needed for Centurion approval. CRL L3: The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt. References We will need the velcro shortened a bit on your belt as it should not be visible once the belt is closed. CRL L3: Canvas belt can not contain patches of any sort. References Thermal Detonator Your thermal detonator is sitting a bit too low on the belt. This can be corrected by lowering the return that goes over the belt on the thermal detonator clips. References Thigh Armour The mobility cuts on your thigh pieces extend a bit to far and go beyond the top of the raised ridge. Unfortunately, this will likely need to be corrected by replacing the thigh pieces or reconstructing the raised ridge. CRL L3: Any mobility cuts on the back do not extend beyond the top of the raised ridge. References 1 Quote
