Fully finished ANH Stunt TK (1,5mm ABS) from Troopermaster with some modifications

The manni without armor shouldnt be more than 178 cm. Dont know what the armor adds to the height of the Mannequin. Perhaps you could measure it without the helmet. I think the boots will make about 1-2 cm.

Thanks Derrek. It wasn't that much work, just had to cut carefully step by step. Doing the same build again, I would now exactly know where to cut...

Imperial Warfighters in the UK have started offering a foam based E-11, I would wager that will be a lot lighter than any resin or rubber option.

Thanks for highlighting, Chris. Sounded interesting so I had a look. In that video clip the material seemed to be very soft and the full blaster weighs only 0.54 kg (resin blaster about 1.1 kg). Unfortunately the surface finish is not what I am looking for, so I will keep searching. Nevertheless, thanks again for mentioning it here.

Have you tried to reinforce the arms Tino? If that works in any way it could be perfect :)

Correct Nick. Already thinking about ways to do this. Need something durable, as the arms have to be moved for adding and removing the armor. Looking forward to soon find a solution...

I had the honor to take a look on the mannequin fully suited in T-Jay's armour. I have to say it looks very reallistic standing there in its organic pose.

The trooper was placed next to the amazing gun rack T-Jay is assembling at the moment. So one possible explanation for the trooper not holding a blaster is that he just placed it in the rack after returning from duty or is going to take it during a red alert ;)

Thanks, Jose. :salute:  The armor recently got approved to Centurion level. As you are aiming for that same level, you can always send me a PM in case of questions. Good luck with your build and great work on your black helmet interior. ;)

Don't worry ;)

With an appropiate investigation here in the forum and the most important thing, patience, you will reach Centurion without pain. And it's always worth to go for it.

Update 08:      - transport box for the armor

As participation in events became more frequently, I had to think about a suitable transport box for the armor. Up to now I attended 9 events, carrying everything in that 4 years old BBB. :) After seriously researching, I ended up with a Stanley box. Many here will think of the popular 190 liters box, because it is a good choice for TKs with original strapping. My TK has the standard strapping, so I looked for something smaller and found a 113 liters size. Note: It took two months with lid opened for the factory stench to evaporate…

The box seems very robust. I can sit and stand on it without problems. The integrated lock is a nice feature, but be warned: I tested my key on 5 other Stanley boxes and it worked on each of them! Looks like they use the exact same lock for all boxes.  Guessing a few guys (including me) will soon replace their locks. Now onto decorating the box…

Was happy to have that V-groove covered in a useful way. There is space for about 60 - 70 events. Enough for me. :) Went on with the sides. Seen many boxes full with interesting stickers, but I had not enough to fill the sides. What I had instead, were two laser-cut imperial cogs “from an earlier project”. :D

I am really happy with the result and do like the clean look. In case anybody wants to pick up the aluminum cover on the v-groove, then please make sure to use a sufficient thickness. My alu stripe is only 0.8mm. A bit more would be better, as these boxes might be stacked on big events.

Sorry for all the “likes”, Tino. As you can tell, I’ve just gone through your thread again and am still blown away.

The armour itself from Paul, the way you’ve constructed it, the weathering, AND the way you’ve documented it.

Truly excellent, sir! :smiley-sw013:

No need to apologize for your "likes" Dan.  :) I am glad if all the work would be of any help for other troopers. Thanks again. :salute:

Update 09:      - armor in the box

For those who are wondering, if and how the TK with standard strapping fits into that box, here is how I pack it for a troop. Tetris level 1

42292271385_3f2234c09a_b.jpg

42292271285_70bb2cba61_b.jpg

Everything fits fine into the 113 liters box, including helmet, boots, blaster and the voice amp. Between some armor parts, there is still space left for food and drinks, emergency repair kit and spare clothes. Because the box is pretty full, you can store it vertically without everything getting mixed up inside - always good when using an elevator.

Maybe this helps a few other troopers here in the decision process… :smiley-sw013:

Looking awesome, Tino!!

Love the idea of the troop count on your battle box. I might have to adopt a similar method.

Frohes neues Jahr, Tino. :-)

Looks great. And great idea with the tally marks. Do the different colors mean anything?

Thanks Max and welcome to the FISD. Yes, the red ones are not listed in my 501st Troop Log. Only the black ones are for official trooping events.
