TK-71940 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [MTK][408]

I got this MTK armor last Christmas and think I'm finally ready for EIB and Centurion. I'll be going for centurion with my commander soon and a death trooper as well! Thanks for looking

Hey Chance!  The armor is looking great!  I don't really have any big suggestions to make for you to change.

 

You could work on getting your right shoulder piece to come forward more.  That would make it match the minimal gap you have on the left shoulder piece.  Also raise up your right thigh to match the height of your left thigh.

 

Your left bicep looks bigger than your right.  You might want to bring the left one in some more.  Conversely, your right forearm looks bigger at the elbow end than your left forearm.

 

I'm not sure how much it will matter, but I did notice your tube stripes may be a little far down on the cheeks.  It's best to have them be a pencil-width from the cheek edge, and yours seem to be 2-3 pencil-widths.

Not much to suggest other than what Ron said.

I had to move the right shoulder bell forward on my MTK as well. Not sure if that just characteristic of the armor but same regarding the left bicep. This is what I did with mine.

I read through your build thread, thanks for the advice! That's something I'll definitely be doing with the bicep. Also tightening in the ab and kidney closer to my body.

CRL and EIB Application Requirements:

I will go ahead and do a full review on your application. I would like you to take and ad a close up of your ab details and your crotch hardware. I can see them clearly in several shots, but they are part of the required photo list. Please edit them in as soon as you can!

As for the overall build of your armor, your attention to detail is apparent. Your hardware placements are darn near perfect. Well done overall on the build!!! With that, I would like to congratulate and welcome you to EIB!!

 

Other-Armor Fit/Assembly:

I like easy reviews like this! There are a couple things that I and your fellow troopers have suggested. These are suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor and won't affect your applications. 

First off is your left bicep. On any build, I look for balance between the two sides. The need to size this down shows most in your side shot with your arms raised. You can see just how much extra room there is to eliminate. Your back shot also makes this point. It will do so much to put your armor in balance. Hopefully, you used E6000 and this will be an easy trim and re-glue.

The next thing is not necessarily a repair, but something I just want to mention for the record. This is in regards to your belt's drop boxes. The originals there very thin:From nearest measurements, ABOUT 10 MM. Yours are good. But they are right at the boarderline of what I would consider too thick. 

 

Centurion Suggestions:

I cannot see anything at this time that would hold you back from Centurion for the exception of the notch in the lower corner of the kidney. This is a requirement that needs to be implemented into your build. I would suggest the bicep adjustment. Although this WON'T hold you back, it would just make you look that much more awesome. 

Make sure to follow the Centurion photo checklist. Since we don't have a pic (but I know you will post one soon   ) of your cod/butt hardware, make sure these are not painted.

 

Congrats again on a great set of armor!!! BTW....don't get too used to sitting. This is just an accident waiting to happen.

I would have to disagree.

 

Not trying to be contrary, but I think it's wrong to state they were thin just because the one in the photo you posted is. As with all troopers, there are slight variations in the assembly, trimming and detailing, so I think it's only fair you allow the same when judging someone's armour.

Thank you so much!!! I did use E6000 so I'll be reshaping that before my centurion application. I will also gladly trim some material off the drop boxes and cut those squares in the kidney plate. 

When I get a moment (been swamped with schoolwork) I'll post the photos I forgot here, no problem.

Erik Bauersfeld (Voice of Ackbar) was at the con this past weekend, and I didn't want to make him stand up for a photo so I tried kneeling down for the first time and it was no problem at all. He was such a nice and funny man.
