Seeker's/TK412's Intro and RS ANH Trooper Build.

HI everyone! After trolling for about a year now, and getting reacquainted with these amazing builds here, I finally decided to start my build thread. I'll keep this short. I've been costuming since the middle of the 1990's, I first bought my very fist Stormtrooper costume in 1995 from a Starlog magazine ad from that Marco Co. I was in cloud nine. Then a few years after that, I heard of the 50st and joined. Been there since the beginning. I never did had the chance to actually wear all white stormtrooper, I always wore a Sandtrooper and I'm really excited to finally build an all white one this time. Ala Death Star hallway look.

I sold my Santrooper armor to a great guy in Germany and I really miss wearing my trooper gear. Well that time is now. I need to finish my RS Propmaster ANH trooper armor by Januray 17th. I have an event that day that only require Imperials.

Here's a little picture history of my trooping through out the years.

My very first submission photo to the 501st. Armor was a butcher one with parts from all types of makers.

I'm also known for this guy. This is the reason I slacked off wearing my Trooper armor.

I was able to find some Chelsea's that were close, but not exact. Hopefully one day I'll find me one those 1095's.

The one I have is a Charles Tyrwitt Chelsea boot. It had a couple of minor details I wanted fix. One, the sole was pretty beat up and I added a new sole. I also wanted replicate the look of the studio shot version. It looks like the sole's are a bit thicker looking and also very leather brown looking. It's a little tight on me, but it will do.

This will be a sole fix update. I'll do a painting post later.

Here's the look I was going for.

Adding glue to both parts then waiting ten minutes for it cure. Then firmly press. I added leather Barge glue sold at Tandy Leather Factory.

Added some Neatsfoot oil to protect it from cracking and weather conditions. Then I added the final dye on the edges.

  • 2 weeks later...

Got a chance to build my canister today. My Quixotic5894 clips showed up during the weekend. I'm very happy how they turned out. I went with the real canister look of RS's canister. The end clips were not that close to the end caps. I hope I can still apply for Centurion. ;)

Yeah, that looks fine to me. The reason I want people to put them at the far edges of the canister is that if I didn't, people would put them way too far towards the middle. My original specification of that requirement didn't mention any measurements, since I think there's room for leeway. But I got complaints about that and had to pick some kind of measurement.

The TD and it's clips are looking beautiful btw. Great work from both of you! :duim:
