Brent Posted September 3, 2012 Report Share Posted September 3, 2012 (edited) I'm really glad to have labor day off, because this has been an intense weekend. This was my first convention with armor. It wasn't an official 501st troop, but I thought I'd share some of the memorable moments @anphrax and I spent some time together on Friday. We got up on stage and played some Dance Central 3. We drew a huge crowd and it was a lot of fun (and exhausting). Later when we left the convention center we danced along to some street musicians. They were improvising as they went so I'm pretty sure they had no plans on ever putting in a stopping point in the music once we started dancing so it went for what seemed like forever before we finally bowed out. This is what got us in to the headline for the NBC News story on PAX: PAX welcomes 70,000 gamers (and dancing Stormtroopers) home Big thanks to my wife Brieanne and some of our friends (Erik, Hope, & Jeremy) who helped as spotters throughout the event. Even in the chaos of a huge event like this I was pretty comfortable moving around. They also helped carry a spare blaster which a lot of people loved to use for their pictures Here are some pictures from the weekend: We got to pose with some of the Penny Arcade staff. The one and only MC Frontalot sporting a Star Wars burlesque trooper shirt. A small confrontation with the cast of Mario. Mass Effect had some great representation this weekend. What's the difference between a vigilante and a rebel? For some reason these castle crashers came equipped with a light saber. And there were even some dragons that needed slaying.
