E-11 wires

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this has been asked before but i could not find anything searching on this.

What is a more accurate size/thickness of the wires for an E-11? I can post picks at the moment but wanted a few Opinions on what to use. I do have a few options at the moment( what I have at home lol) which are

1) Cell car charger wire(this seems to be the right width becuase it is a little more thins than normal coled wires)Like this http://www.amazon.com/LG-CU920-Phone-Charger-Vehicle/dp/B001C3TI5W

2) I also have really thin black coiled wire that you usually see attached to a pen in a bank lol(so you dont steal it)Like this http://www.displays2go.com/product.wide.asp?ID=11422 . Just let me know what you think.

Great question - I'm in the same boat and would be intersted to see the replies.

:) I have had these wires just sitting around until I could figure out whats the best option. I figured I should just finally ask lol.

a fellow trooper and I used cell car charger wires.. they look good :) but yeah, i'm also interested in finding out the 'correct' ones

Yeah I might just go with these if I dont see other wise but I keep thinking maybe the thinner ones better lol.

Just to chime in on what I used.......electrical wire for model trains. Small diameter and copper core co when wrapped tightly around a pencil, it holds its shap...no drooping and can be in ANY position you want.Mystormiearmor2011014.jpgMystormiearmor2011013.jpg

Hope this helps!!!

those are all nice wires... but they are wrong.

here's a screencap.

topblasterwires.jpg

the wires attach BELOW the pins on the hengstler with silver solder to the

front of the brass metal case.

one wire is red, and the other is green actually! they are insulated small connection wires

like you'd see inside a PC board.

too bad the screencap is in black and white.

the inboard wire is connected in series with the outboard wire. left to right.

see how the left wire bends around to the right rear?

Are the wires required for Centurion? it's listed in the requirements, but I've seen discussions of screen examples without wires. I'm just not a fan of the wires in general, so if I can avoid them on my blaster, all the better...

Thanks!
