I built gaskets for Anaheim before the movie was released. I also started my thread at that time. All my Anaheim stuff is gone. We had two threads; Rhonda's cloth gasket thread and my Imperial Gaskets thread.

Uh you have 4 pinned sales threads?? One was started in 2007. Another one is pauldrons. And the Imperial Gaskets thread was started by you "TK4205" in 2015. The Force Awakens came out in 2015. So there were no gaskets before that...

Merkava74's TFA FOTK Build Thread (Anovos)
ukswrath replied to merkava74's topic in TFA Build Threads
Imperial Gaskets is back in business and listed on the FOTK Supply list. Also, Imperialsurplus makes FOTK armor, comparable to Anovos. I'm actually commission building a set as we speak, it's very nice. You can find them on FB. -
Thatās a lot of sanding - there shouldnāt be a troublesome fibre left. You had contact with Imperial Gaskets? There was a rumour they were ramping up again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I converted this thread into a generic build thread / Request For Comments to help me keep track of things as they move forward. I'll post what I'm planning as things move forward, if there's any feedback you have, feel free to dump it on. Planned vendors: * Nothing on hold... Ordered / Waiting: * Nothing on hold... Arrived / Building: * Armor Kit + Helmet - Jim (chrome is difficult to find someone to take you seriously, so I'm going to paint it myself.) * Blaster - BranfuhrStudios (Etsy, painting) * Gaskets - Imperial Gaskets, rubber Complete: * TK Talkie, configuring voice * Cape - DIY, rubberized

Hey all...figured I'd start a build thread to annotate my progress (positive or negative) on this journey. I'm new to building and this will be my first kit (unless I change mid stream LOL) What I have so far Bucket - Anovos Standard Bucket (bought at Hollywood Studios Galactic Nights in April 2017) Armor - Anovos standard kit (arrives...???) Gaskets - on the wait list from Imperial Gaskets Boots/Gloves - Ordered through Imperial Boots Undersuit - On the way from Stormtrooper undersuit While I await the armor...I'm anxiously working my helmet mods courtesy of another thread via SpaceAF09...they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so...I'm modding my standard Anovos helmet... With guts removed Masking in place First coat

Hi, I bought this armor before I knew about FISD and the eBay Armor page, so I'm curious what everyone thinks in terms of hindsight: http://www.ebay.com/...cvip=true&rt=nc Before buying, I asked him a few questions: Where did you get the armor? - He said it was the 3rd gen prototype offered to 501st members to promote TFA Can you prove its authenticity? - His evidence were pictures of the helmet that showed a black liner which was only offered by Anovos as well as a picture of the original Anovos Box Are you a member of the 501st? - He provided a link to his 501st profile where "the main photo on my listing is what they used to make my profile picture on the member page for this suit." How would I replace the gaskets? - He complained about how you had to use Weir's glue for the Anovos gaskets, and recommended Imperial Gaskets for replacements Thoughts?

Mau's Phasma Build [RFC]
Mau Abata replied to Mau Abata's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Update - 4/12: Planning -> Starting Orders I've ordered a voice change to play with, as well as a blaster which I'm quite excited to build. I'm probably going to record some audio with the TK Talkie once it's fine tuned to the right voice. I've also heard back from the armor kits and gaskets, so I'll be moving forward with Imperial Gaskets rubber set, and Jim's armor kit. After a bit of internal debate, I've settled on doing TLJ Phasma. The new waters seems like a wonderful challenge, and it is just so chrome. I will be awaited in Valhalla for this, I'm sure. This weekend I'm going to scrutinize the films for any more information on the build I can squeeze out, and start work on the cape. So. Much. Chrome. I'm still weighing if I want to chrome it myself (heavily utilizing my friend's auto body experience), or if I should get it vacuum metallized. I'm leaning strongly toward the latter; I found a couple options locally that offer this service, so once Big Brown Box Day comes, I'll probably show them the bits and get quotes. My Plan C was to find an auto body shop and see if they would chrome it, but it seems the VM route has produced superior results. -
Where, What and Whom To Avoid When Buying

Hi Everyone, I'm new here and I've been skimming these forums for the last few weeks. I only recently found out I didn't have to be a 501st member to join. I found this guy on ebay when looking at TFA armor: ebay Before buying, I asked him a few questions: Where did you get the armor? - He said it was the 3rd gen prototype offered to 501st members to promote TFA Can you prove its authenticity? - His evidence were pictures of the helmet that showed a black liner which was only offered by Anovos as well as a picture of the original Anovos Box Are you a member of the 501st? - He provided a link to his 501st profile where "the main photo on my listing is what they used to make my profile picture on the member page for this suit." How would I replace the gaskets? - He complained about how you had to use Weir's glue for the Anovos gaskets, and recommended Imperial Gaskets for replacements The majority of opinions regarding eBay from this thread are mostly negative, and I myself am always wary of eBay thanks to paranoia. Think I got screwed over? -
Captain Phasma- starting up a build
Captain Cupcake replied to FunkyAmazon's topic in Captain Phasma - TFA and TLJ
Hi! Im a Phasma here in Orlando. I think you may have already found the Phasma Costumers group on FB. I have fabric and rubber gaskets, both are great. For LFL and Disney troops I like to go with the rubber ones from Imperial Gaskets. For casual troops either ones work. My armor is fiberglass which really does a number on the fabric ones. Shouldn't have that problem with light ABS, not sure about Jim's as it is flexible fiberglass. My neck seal is Anovos which is super nice but hotter than Hades. -
Finish Coat of Paint Back into the paint booth. I used the Mixkwik tool on every can for about a minute then got busy. I started with the smaller pieces. I figured if I messed up, at least I wouldn't have much sanding to do. I did end up having to re-do one of the spats. I got the hang of it eventually and moved on the larger pieces. With everything done, I turned off the lights, left the fan running, locked the door and went off the Caribbean for a week. Fingers crossed the whole time. Decals I used 'Window Film Application Solution' to float the decals into position. The only problem I had was, I was missing the decals for the front rectangular part of the wrist boxes. I did receive two decals for the chest cut out. One for the resin upgrade, and a different one if you decided not to do the upgrade. I was able to make the missing decals out of the chest decal I didnāt use. All is good. Holster Update I added real hardware from McMaster Carr See this post on FISD AND DONE Well sort of. The gaskets need work. I'd like to get to a point where I can get into the armor on my own, but for now the gaskets are too restricting. I may have better luck with Imperial Gaskets. APPROVED!! -Zaphod

TT8's TFA
TriumphTrooper8 replied to TriumphTrooper8's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Did some more work with the sewing machine and more fitting! Cleaned up the ab shoulder straps. Fabricated the thigh straps using 2" black webbing and sew on Velcro. Cloth shoulder/arm gaskets from imperial gaskets I sewed on the Velcro strips to keep the biceps and forearms from moving around. Assembled and tried on the legs with the spats. They fit perfectly! Fabricated shoulder bell straps also with sew on Velcro. What is left.......lets see.......not much? Fine filling and sanding of chest, forearms and thigh. Chest Greeblies to glue on. Its almost time to sand/scuff, tape off, paint and decals! A little gift to myself! Thigh straps and shoulder bell straps Thigh strap Leg Front Leg Inside Shoulder Bell straps Inside of the chest/back assembly with strapping Velcro sewn on the arm/shoulder gaskets for the bicep and forearm I also found out I am not alone as of November 3rd! Then there were four........... -
I will be in White Armor of some description. I had a Gasket mishap and ended up splitting the yoke right in the same spot most people have experienced this crack. I will be updating this build thread in the appropriate section when I can. I will be getting a brand new set of Imperial Gaskets (the larger size) as well a as set of Mrs. TK4205's Fabric Gaskets. Hopefully one of them will come in before Woburn; I don't think I want to troop in Anovos Gaskets if I can avoid it. -Pete

I'm at SWCO this weekend, so I took a few quick photos of the TFA kit that they had on display. For those of us who wear Imperial Gaskets (latex version) with our kits, the new Anovos gaskets are also made of latex - and they should look quite familiar: The cost for a kit is $800, a bit less if you don't need the helmet. They aren't doing the preassembled option on these. I didn't ask them about their latest delivery timelines - given their history I didn't see much point in doing so.

Best Way To Assemble Anovos Rubber Knee Gaksets?
TK4205 replied to darthaldernu's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
I appreciate the plug, but Imperial Gaskets are made out of latex. They come with their own glue. Mark's inner tube suggestion is sound. Silicon gaskets wont last very long, no matter how you put them together. I'm always running specials, so hit me up. I also have factory seconds from time to time that go cheap. -
We have a few vetted makers of neck deals in our Imperial Commissary section - There's Veedox, Darman's, Geeky Pink's, and don't quote me but I believe Imperial Gaskets also does Neck seals that will do the trick. That Etsy one looks like it doesn't breathe very well. The decision is ultimately up to you mate [emoji16][emoji106]

So I will add a closing post here. Based upon the evidence shown and the discussions that have happened in the past and the present, I would like to make it very clear that Teresa has not recast Imperial Gaskets. Teresa has developed a very successful business and is doing her Legion brothers and sisters proud. Wyatt also brought Peter Nuthall and Aaron Gibson into this discussion. I would also like to clear the air that Peter and Aaron have done nothing malicious as well. Yes Aaron did promote Teresa's business on our forums when Teresa only had a facebook page at the time. Aaron at the time was unaware but he learned of the rule violation and that situation was put to rest. In turn Teresa came onto our forums and the rest is history. She now has a thread that has been nothing but positive with some very happy customers. Geeky Pink is an asset to current and future legion members and now I can say that this discussion is finally put to rest.

Got my imperial gaskets assembled and strapped up. These are the rubber ones, and they are super HOT and not very comfortable. I will only be using these for approval pics and possibly trading card photos, as they look great! sacrificing comfort for appearance until the fabric gaskets show up. Oh, and my TK trading cards showed up today too

Hey guys! Finished my Captain Phasma suit but I do plan on doing some future upgrades. Kit- Anovos TFA TK Phasma helmet and upgrade parts- Shawn Gaskets- Imperial Gaskets Holster and holster accessories- Dan B Blaster- JJ Armory Still need to upgrade the boot covers and I am working with a buddy to make an accurate helmet. The armor was painted with Krylon Color Master Primer and then gloss black Polished with Meguiar's then airbrushed with alclad. Weathered with Acrylic black. Lots of thanks to Dawn Bright, Ingrid Moon, Gordon Tarpley!! After Weathering and some mods. Buffed and weathered the suit I had a chance to bring my suit and wear it at FIDM where they had the actual movie suit on display! I dont think I can ever get a chance again to actually compare hand in hand the actual suit!! I wanted it to be more weathered than the actual suit but I may have gotten a little too carried away. =P I may have to go back and clean it up a bit!

TFA First Order Trooper (research and build)
Quothcorvus replied to MaxSW's topic in TFA Build Threads
If you are wanting gaskets from Imperial Gaskets, I would suggest getting in touch with them and getting on the list. They are very good, and very popular, I think I was on the list about 4 months before I got to the top. You will be asked for payment only when your order is ready for posting. -
Replaced the Anovos gaskets with Imperial gaskets Just waiting on the helmet to come back from the spray shop. Last bits to do are add a light to the front of the F11 & fans to the helmet. So close now

There has been a lot of negativity surrounding FISD and our former DMBO lately and I thought I would inject some positivity instead of the mudslinging that the Legion boards seem to have (sadly) devolved to. I don't know Wyatt. I've talked with him via PM in my role as an attache a few times at most. Regardless of charges or what you think of him, he has poured everything into the Legion and this detachment for over a decade, from handling nearly every merch run on FISD to running Imperial Gaskets. I know I've only been a Legion member since November, but Wyatt... thanks for everything you have done for us here.

Update So I had my first troop over the weekend, Star Wars Night at the Portland Pirates in Portland Maine. Anovos Gaskets have to go. I will be working on Imperial Gaskets right away. But first, a bigger issue had to be dealt with. My TD was working it's way crooked throughout the troop. Here is a good shot of what I mean...... me out on the ice for the puck drop Luckily I had an excellent wrangler who was able to keep it straightened out for most of the night. Here is what I think went wrong... In the photo above you can see how the strap holding the TD has slipped over the edge of the AB plate. This is why my TD was going all crooked at the troop. (I think) My solution I switched the strap holding the AB closet to the TOP snaps and the straps holding the TD to the lower snaps. The photo above shows that even if the TD strap works it's self off the AB, the TD should stay straight, (or at least not as obviously crooked ) If it doesn't work, I'll try velcro. -Zaphod
