  1. Staples does carry them but at this point in the discussion we're referring to non-U.S. based troopers. Staples doesn't ship internationally.
  2. Considering the material, I doubt it. Sounds more like a solid drop box.
  3. I'll have to head out to office supply shops in the area, then. I prefer the convenience of delivery but sometimes I've got to get out of the house, I suppose.
  4. Amazon isn't any help. I went through all of their offerings and found a handful of brads with the 3/8" cap diameter. And again, they won't ship outside of the U.S.
  5. Anyone find these online anywhere? Living in Australia, I'm having a devil of a time finding something in the correct size. I haven't found anything that lists brads with the correct cap diameter... 3/8" or 9.375 mm. It's aggravating since I only need some for my thigh ammo belt. If anyone knows of an online source I'd appreciate hearing about it. The above link doesn't work as they won't ship internationally. I looked on eBay and found the correct size but those particular sellers won't ship outside of the U.S.
  6. For strapping the chest and back together beneath the shoulder bridges I would and am going with black for my ROTJ build. It's going to blend in with your undersuit and will make it look like the shoulder bridges alone hold the chest and back together. It maintains the illusion of functional armor. Based upon the ROTJ screen shots I have, I can only see black strapping beneath the bridges connecting to the shoulder bells. As for a material I suppose you can use either webbing or elastic. I'm inclined to use webbing so that the positions of the back and chest plates remain stationary without the flex and give of elastic.
  7. You're welcome. We're here to help. I once had this same question and I'm happy to have had the chance to return the favor, so to speak.
  8. *I edited the picture to make it clear. Thanks, Sonnenschein.
  9. Fair enough. I'm a ROTJ guy. The quick picture works for the ANH question, though.
  10. For ANH use the slot on the thinner side of the trim. The rounder and fatter part of the trim will be on the inside of the helmet this way.
  11. Depends upon your stormtrooper version. ANH and ESB use it one way and ROTJ uses it the other way.
  12. The RoTJ version, if that's what it is, is wrong. The hammers suggest RoTJ, even that squared U-track does. The U-track should be curved, though. The door catch looks nothing like it should. The scope rail should be solid but this version looks more like an ANH scope rail. The front sight is wrong, too. The forward D-ring holder is a nice touch even though it's radically inaccurate. The forward D-ring (only the ring itself, not its holder) and the hammers are the only proper details of this blaster. This E-11 is the unwanted child of an ANH and RoTJ E-11. It's ugly and wrong. The merging of different E-11 styles doesn't create a catchall E-11 that covers the original trilogy. Instead, it results in a monstrosity that doesn't make any sense. If someone tried to pass this off for a RoTJ E-11 in an EIB request I'd shoot it down. It's bad.
  13. A good suggestion. Thanks, Locitus. I'm hoping that the Centurion standard gets sorted and that we won't have to get the flexible bridges. But it's good to have somewhere to start looking if we're forced to change our bridges.
  14. My existing bridges are HIPS straps that Velcro to the chest and back. I'd rather not have to swap them out but the standards aren't up to me.
  15. I agree with you now and I did in the thread talking about the subject of the shoulder bridge material. The proposed Centurion standards state that: "Shoulder Straps: # These must be glued in front. # These must be secured in in back. # Shoulder straps must be made foam other of flexible material instead of rigid plastic." I still think that the bridges in the film were rigid plastic but these proposed standards weren't written by me. Despite my opinion, the standards look as if they will require flexible shoulder bridges. In light of that, where would we locate those bridges?
  16. If the proposed standards for the RoTJ Centurion go through, a lot of RoTJ troopers are going to need new shoulder bridges. There's already a thread dedicated to the material used for these bridges so I won't restart it here. My curiosity is simple... where will we find these new shoulder bridges since most of us have rigid plastic bridges?
  17. For my RoTJ color (the same biscuit that you're talking about) I went a slightly pricey route... I took one of the shoulder bridges from my armor and had it color matched at a paint store. So if my larger set of armor ever arrives it should match my existing suit perfectly after I paint it (if the paint hasn't gone off by then).
  18. Very cool to hear that this suit will be cast. It's not my style, but I imagine that many troopers the world over will be drooling when this thing is ready to go.
  19. Very nice. Definitely clean and orderly. I may try this on my kit.
  20. LOL This is a great thing to watch the first thing in the morning. Fun stuff.
  21. I'm not dead yet. My TK armor still rests in the back room, disassembled and dusty. This month marks a full year that I've been waiting for TE to send me the larger kit that I purchased from him. As of last July the kit was supposedly fully cast but TE had no money to ship it. That's unfortunate since I paid the shipping back in March. Apparently, he spent my shipping money on other things. As I now begin my second year of waiting, TE is apparently unemployed and my kit won't be shipping any time in the foreseeable future. And so I'm still a TK to be if the bloody thing is ever shipped.
  22. Matt's thumb must be hurting and slow to heal. That's unfortunate for him and I wish him the best. I haven't heard from him in a month despite multiple e-mails on my part. I'm guessing that he injured his typing hand.
  23. I like this! Very cool idea that adds a ton of detail to a bucket.
