  1. Elections are over. Please remove any remaining election banner signatures from your profile. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for posting these. I'm very excited this is finally getting under way. I spoke to Mason on the phone the other day about it. I have been harassing him for a while. BTW, Mason thinks we should steer away from the Stunt/Hero naming and go with a Endor/Death Star instead to avoid confusing with the ANH costumes. Looking at this endor version is making me reconsider doing the death star one for my RotJ suit.
  3. The power... IT FILLS ME!!!

  4. FYI, Steve, that Icon you have in your sig is an ESB TK. I know because I made it. Try this one out instead:
  5. Yeah, those shins are a PITA. I recommend opening it up a bit with a heat gun. I had to do it on my set and Olga's as well. After we opened it up, I stuck some foam in there to ad a bit of padding. Even with all of this I still make sure that when we velcro it closed it stays a bit open at the bottom. Looks great, btw.
  6. That's basically exactly what I did. If you have any pictures of the process it would be great to share them so I can cross post here. I don't have access to MEPD at work, though.
  7. Heads up, I'm going to try and get the rest of the pics this weekend and finish this up by next week.
  8. RT-Mod would be a good choice. I didn't go that way though because I really like the ATA and once I'm back to my normal weight of 200+- it fits me with no problem. Also, there's a large cost difference.
  9. This is a great piece of advice. When I first started I went the cheap route and got an FX instead of a TM I was looking into. I wanted to save some money, but in the long run I ended up hating that decision. I eventually was able to sell the FX for a good price and picked up an ATA kit for my ESB and an ANH conversion setup as well as a CfO RotJ suit. Still wish I would have gotten that TM, though.
  10. Looks like you went a little overboard. If you have another set of ears I'd suggest you try again. Take your time and go little by little. You don't need to rush it and you'll be better off in the end. 2 credits.
  11. What'd you use for the weathering, it looks great! I had a real bear of a time weathering the TK boots. They just don't take scuffs that well. (i guess that would be a good thing?) I used some newspapers, but it does rub off eventually and I need to redo some spots since it's looking too clean. (my gf's too.)
  12. I'm 6'0 and was around 215-220 when I put together my armor. It is a little small and does take modding for guys our size, but I love my armor. AM is alright, but the chest and back really should be replaced.
  13. I just wanted to bump this thread real quick to say that I've just started a new guild on Sith Meditation Sphere. We moved from <XFOR> to <X-raided> after all that drama happened, but ended up with new drama with one of the guild's officers. A bunch of members left and some of us have created <Guild> the guild. We've got a vent and a website and are recruiting for raids for anyone interested. Send me a pm or a tell in game. (bobojuice in game)
  14. I use t-ball helmet foam pads. You can get the helmets at wallyworld for 5-10 bucks and they've got enough foam for 2+- helmets. I just hot glue them in and I'm done.
  15. ------------"Yah, ya got yer, this loaded here, this has yer independent, uh, yer slipped differential, uh, yer rack-and-pinion steering, yer alarm and radar, and I can give it to ya with a heck of a sealant, this TruCoat stuff, it'll keep the salt off..." I just spray mine with a flat black on the inside. It's mainly for people who troop. The bright white from the inside will allow light to reflect on your face. When a little kid looks up he'll see it, painting the inside black helps prevent this. It's also the reason people put screens behind their frowns. Painting the inside black and screens are in no way accurate, afaik.
  16. I was able to get up close and personal with one of the guys wearing one back stage at the re-opening of star tours in Orlando. The stuff is really weird. It's definitely made specifically to allow flexibility in movement. These guys can run, jump dance, and pretty much do ANYTHING in their armor. The helmets are really funny looking up close and seem a bit large. The tears on the sides have mesh so they can see. Weirdest thing was looking at the mesh tears and seeing an eyeball looking right at you! All of the folks I saw wearing the suits were Dancer/Performer types. Very strange seeing a Stormtrooper doing Pirouettes at 5 in the morning.
  17. Sorry I haven't been able to finish up the remainder of what I had planned for this thread. I'll try and get to it soon. I've been pretty busy lately, and SW:TOR is not helping.
  18. I had a Cushman DLT-19 that my buddy sold me and I really wasn't happy with it. The detail is not good at all. The only good thing about it is that it's light. Also, he gave it to me after EXTENSIVE mods to get it to look better. Overall, I wouldn't recommend them.
