I would be weary of using any of these types of plastic welders. While they might create a strong bond there is very serious potential for melting the plastic and causing problems. The same goes for ABS/PVC cement.

TK 4516 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status[193][CAP]
bobojuice replied to SCTrooper's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Would you be able to get a less grainy action shot? -
---------- This is all I use. I wouldn't recommend getting anything bigger than the 1oz size. I had a 2oz and the tip gets all ridiculous after a while. I even bought a few .5oz bottles just to be sure. A 1oz bottle of CA glue holds around 7 times more than your average bottle. It's a lot. I used around 2-3oz per suit. I would suggest getting anywhere from 2-4 bottles of the spray, or if you can find it just one bottle and a big refill. The accelerator smells pretty good too, not like some others I've used. Also, DO NOT use debonder on plastic, PERIOD. It will melt your plastic. If you need to use it on your fingers or something, that's fine.

ATA should fit him well.

I glued the crap out of Olga's forearms when i first build them. Turned out that her arms were much to small so i had to redo them. It took a bit of work, but I was able to pull them apart and redo them no problems. I'm not saying it didn't take a lot of work, but if that's the only pro, I'll still stick with CA. Plus, CA gives me the incentive not to screw up.

I personally would never use E6000 for anything. That's just me though. I've gotten way to comfortable to using CA and accelerator. I'm too impatient to wait 24hrs for a full bond, when I can have one in 2 seconds. Plus it only takes around 3oz of glue and a couple of bottles of accelerator for an entire suit. I have a couple of tubes of E6000 that have never been opened as well as like 5 packages of Devcon plastic welder. CA all the way.

Undersuit Question.......
bobojuice replied to Solcar23's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Be aware that these undersuits are a thick cotton material and can be extremely hot. -
AP is much smaller than ATA. What size is he? I've seen guys up to 260lbs wearing ATA.

Looks like it should be ok. It might be something similar to the rubberized CA glues I've seen at hobby shops. Is it clear or black?

Doesn't come with the pipe. You can get one at any hardware store for under 3 dollars. -
Bag / Case for my Costume
bobojuice replied to Damon TK 6144's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Stanely Bins are decent, but they take up a TON of space in your place. If you have a small apt, I'd recommend something else. I recently just got a very large duffel bag from an army surplus store and it works really well. I need to have it because since my gf now has a TK, both bins won't fit in our cars. We take one in a bin and one in a duffel bag. -
Requesting Denix to do the L2A3

What do their replicas usually run? If not too spendy I'd definitely be interested. Email sent. -
Probably a good idea to replace that chicken wing bicep. That thing is TINY. You have no idea how hard it was to get that thing to fit me. I think the back of it is opened up to like 60mm.

Original and Replica Prop Stormtrooper Belt

Jesse posted some of the pictures earlier and it looks amazing. Alison does awesome work. She's working on some Boushh stuff for my GF and it all looks top notch. -
Processor speed doesn't really matter anymore. The one thing that might hold you back is if you have a dedicated video card or not. I really wouldn't recommend gaming on any laptops anyway. Unless you've got one of those Alienware extreme machines or something, but then those aren't even laptops at that point.

As of right now they cant accept anyone new into the guild until the game is released. Apparently there's a hold on it. You can still sign up to XFOR.org and probably get an invite later. I'm not sure if I'll stay in the guild, but we'll see. 132 members seems kinda huge and I forsee problems arising. I've been part of large guilds and there's always drama when you get that many people playing a game together.

Is anyone else excited for this? I broke down and pre-ordered last week after playing the last beta weekend. I'll be joining up with XFOR as well as a whole heap of 501st members. We'll see what server they assign to us. If anyone on here is joining I look forward to seeing you in-game. I've also got my own private vent server. If anyone wants the info, just send me a PM.

My RS Props Armor Build

Nice, it's made by Clothears. Alison is awesome. She's making all of Olga's Boushh soft parts. What did the belt run you? I might have to hit her up for one. -
Inexpensive TK Gloves for Noobs
bobojuice replied to senna1rossi's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
I don't think anyone is trying to make these into Screen Accurate gloves. For that you can go to your local hardware store and shell out 5-7 bucks for a set of rubber ones. I think he's using this as an alternative to the widely used Nomex gloves which can range from 20-50 dollars depending on the seller. Have you seen those? They're no where near screen accurate, but they're pretty nice for trooping. If these are as good and only 5 bucks, then it's worth a look. Remember, not everyone throws their costume on a mannequin and leaves it there. There are those of us that troop on a regular basis (20-30 troopers/year) and screen accurate does not usually mean comfort. -
