  1. Those look the best and are the cheapest!
  2. I agree with moving carefully so as not to knock anybody over that you can't see. When I've been roaming, and want to turn around and walk the opposite way, I stop, do a little shuffle with my feet in one spot in order to turn myself around and then start walking. In the past I've had close calls if I don't look first and take it slow.
  3. Go pee before you suit up!
  4. Just check out this thread to see how awful it really is.
  5. Check out this thread that discusses almost the same thing.
  6. Was this made for trooping in, or just for display?
  7. That is exactly what I did too, and it works great.
  8. I love my MRCE and I think it looks great. Here is a pic of me in it (I'm the one on the left ) The mods I have done are: -raising the brow -changing the teeth from 'hero' to 'stunt' style -replaced lenses and tube stripes -filled seam at frown
  9. ------- seems to always have the MRCE available.
  10. This thread may help, it has a ----- you can download for free that has a lot of how-to's in it.
  11. That's odd that it didn't come with instructions...
  12. Sorry, next time I'll just refer to it as the "armor that shall not be named"!
  13. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Actually it probably helps Rubies look more accurate in comparison!
  14. I'm not a fan of these hoodies either: they are just too wonky looking and too expensive for my taste. Plus, when are you ever going to wear it completely zipped up over your face?
  15. If any of you are thinking about getting Marc Echo's stormtrooper hoodie here it is in use. This pic was taken at an event. One of our garrison members was wearing it and zipped it all the way up. I had to get a picture of myself next to it. (By the way, I love this pic of me in my armor!) The hoodie doesn't look so accurate next to the real thing.
  16. I'll admit, I love the look of the pauldron and was pretty sad when I got into this hobby more and found out that regular TK's aren't supposed to wear them. The general public doesn't know about this rule though. That being said, I am getting a black and white pauldron and will be wearing it on Halloween, since it won't be a 501st event. Gotta sneak it in sometime!
  17. I agree, having the upper arms down low just ends up in a lot of pinching for me. I have purposely kept mine up higher, thus revealing more black in the elbow area, but I don't care that it doesn't look as screen accurate, when I'm trooping, I'm trying to find as much comfort as possible. I still get little 'armor kisses' even though my pieces are placed up higher.
  18. You are a 40 year old nut, but I agree that Halloween is fun! I am so excited because this will be my very first halloween in my TK! It's gonna rock!
  19. I bought a black turtle neck shirt from the thrift store for 3 dollars and cut out the neck part, it works really well. In fact, I have an accurate neck seal with the ribbing and it velcro's, but it's not made very well and I often get that same skin gap showing at the base of my neck if I don't tuck it in exactly right, so I actually prefer the turtle neck version better. No it's not screen accurate, but once I get my helmet on, you can't really see the neck seal anyways. I like having two different neck seals to swap between.
  20. Looks great, I really like how you modified the mannequin to get the trooper pose!
  21. What blows my mind is how in the world you got it so scuffed up with only 12 troops! I've done 9 troops in mine and I am no where near that many scuffs!
  22. Yes, the MRCE is very idealized and symmetrical, which I love. Personally, I'm not a fan of the eye bump on the fan made helmets. Although screen accurate, the general public might just think you have a lower grade helmet or that something went wrong with it when it was made.
  23. But don't most fan-made buckets come un-assembled? The MRCE is ready to go, just needs darker lenses.
  24. If you really want to educate yourself on the different types of helmets out there, visit Star Wars Helmets site. Make sure to check out the "Licensed" and "Fan made" sections.
  25. Man those have really jumped up in price recently. I got mine for $110 including shipping back in May.
