On my two sets of TE armor, I've only sanded the edges and that's for the comfort factor. I've used KRYLON Fusion on my TK and RUSTOLEUM on my TD and haven't had any problems...because I didn't sand & prime the surfaces prior to spray painting. However, some troopers sand all the surfaces...I think it's more of a personal decision. T

Seth BUSINO is a good friend of mine. I had the pleasure of being his executive officer when he was the detachment leader over at the Mos Eisley Police Department. He is currently recovering from the effects of a divorce. This post has nothing to do with Star Wars, sandtroopers, or stormtroopers. Some had critized him. Some had already written him off. All I can say is that if you've never been there...you're lucky. I posted the following words on the MEPD in a thread that banned Seth from posting on the MEPD forums. I don't know how far he's come or how far he's got to go, but as the post reads, I'm proud of him for what he's accomplished so far: "Divorce IS a terrible thing. I had the chance to speak to Seth via cellular phone several months ago. I told him at that time to be strong because as a man, especially a U.S. male, he's gonna go through some struggles and tough times - I'm sure that ALL men do. Divorce IS a terrible thing. I was very, very fortunate to go through my own divorce while I was stationed in Korea. My ex-wife left with her young boyfriend so I was free to work out my issues by drinking excessively and being comforted by dozens of beautiful American AND Korean women. Divorce IS temporary. I am very proud of Seth for stepping up and re-engaging. It takes a whole lotta intestinal fortitude to get back in the game. I remember that I didn't care about anything in life and I didn't give a "rat's an impolite person" about anyone. You blame yourself for what happened - even though it may not be your fault, you doubt your credibility as a man, you seek revenge, and then the most dangerous part of recovery, you seek self-destruction. I am proud of you Seth. Take your time my young compadre. Take ALL the time that you need. I've been there bro. Remember my friend it does get better..."life is better than unlife"." Aloha, T ePS: This is from the POV of a man who survived a divorce. I don't mean to lessen the effects that divorce has on women...divorce is a terrible thing.

Yes, I can attest to the fact that Smitty was at DragonCon all this time... Seems that I received a cellular phone message AND a photo of a trooper (sans his TE2 bucket) partaking of a cool beverage. It appears that a fellow Pacific Outpost member also at DC deemed it appropriate to give his amigo a call and share the fun. Hope you had a grand time bro! Aloha, T

Hey Kevin, Again, allow me to say that I think your armor is "da best" armor I have seen - bar none! I hope I'm fortunate enough to be able to one day own a set of your armor and more importantly, that I can display it in a way as to NOT bring dishonor and embarassment to your work. Aloha, T

Oh - and if you *do* go white clone Tony - lmk 'cause we'll fly you to us this time for a good armor party. That is the best offer I've had ALL day! I'll just tell the Missus that I'm going over to Paul's house for an armor party..."see ya next week" T

Mark, Try looking him up at the 501st Legion Membership listings as TK-406, Joerg WEGMANN. Joerg is a good friend of mine in the German Garrison - it might be him, not 100% positive though...or contact ROCKO via MEPD. T -
