  1. Oh yea, I'll be there as Boba Fett though, no TK. About 14 others from our garrison are planning to go. Already set for the 501st mixer, and am thinking about Disney World Star Wars "Last Tour To Endor" event on Saturday. Look forward to seeing everyone there!
  2. Good job on the build, Marcus! Just curious, when you cut the pvc pipe that short, does the barrel stay in well(wobble? or comes off easily?) or you affixed it permanently? It'll be a reference for preference, less drilling... I have the same one and didn't want cut the pvc to ensure a secure & tight fit to be transportable/detachable.
  3. Armor looks great, Gordon! Congrats on your build.
  4. If you have to fly, be sure to secure your bag with a TSA approved lock and extra padding for your armor. I've travel domestically on Southwest, no extra charge for extra bags. TSA will examine anything that appears to be a weapon, explosive, or contraband. I recommend separately wrapped everything in clear plastic containers or zipper bags for easy accessMy link. For your blaster/lightsaber/helmet- remove all batteries and separate them from the holders. I personally do a carry-on with my helmet. I've heard a lot of nightmare stories with stolen items(baggage handlers), TSA- lost, damage or destroyed their stuff. Only good thing about FedEx and UPS is that it's less likely to be opened, "mishandled" as much and the above mentioned. The only problems I had with TSA was them not correctly putting back my stuff and nearly damaging my armor & jumppack. Thank ABS for be flexible and padding protected from damages. Good luck in finding the best container for you. The 50 gallon is nice, but it's humongous...
  5. Here is another place:------------- The Stor-It-All (42 gallon)trunk is what I have, and is now $49.00. Fits perfectly my TC or TK, you can stand on it(I'm over 200 lbs) and has wheels. Very well made. Lockable but breachable. If you want to store 2 armor, there a bigger cart. HomeDepot has a 50 gallon one, very well made, but unless you have a SUV and don't plan to travel with it or plan to pay the extra air fee, a great cart.
  6. I agree with the new proposal. I use plastic shims from a "Target" garbage can which still gives the armor look. Only $12
  7. My best wishes to you and your family! I still need to get my EE-3 project done. Thx for everything, bro. Have a very Happy Halloween!
  8. Yea, there's going to be more than just the pod race. It's going to have several Star Wars scenes from what I heard too, but haven't heard of it being different with every ride, though. All I can say for a fact is there will be a certain bounty hunter in it. :fett2: Here is the Star Wars Tours news update: Star Wars Tour
  9. I got my boots yesterday-exceptionally fast & professional service (one week turn around) and the boots are of good quality. I recommend these to anyone wanting a pair of stormtroopers boots at a reasonable price. They are less expensive than CAboots and comes flat white, soft leather compared to CABoots- gloss white and hard leather. I normally wear 10.5, I bought one size up since they only come in whole sizes. The size 11s were loose, but all I needed was added insoles to make them snug.
  10. The guy is super fast, got a tracking number for USPS, should arrive in a few days.
  11. Alright, I'd just order a pair with all the recommendations given to this seller. I am impress, so far, response time in about 30 minutes.
  12. That's what the soap and water is for, Paul. The trick is to press up to the stall, so the cod doesn't accidentally drop/flip down, and lean into it. And do take off your gloves off prior, you don't want to be shaking little kids hands when you know where its been last...
  13. It works great for the all day troop, when you need to go, you don't need to be fumbling to take off your armor. It is also good to have the two piece under armor rather the full body. You don't even see it, just cut along where the belt covers it. There isn't that much more movement unless you cut the back/butt plate also. This will allow more comfort to sit down.
  14. Thanks, Scott, for the swag! Really cool of you for doing this.
  15. Congrats Bernard! I'll need a few more posts before I'll get up to where you're at. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
  16. My condolences to you and Melanie's family.
  17. Thx Scott! And my warmest wishes to Melissa for a speedy recovery. Thx everyone that encouraged me to make the extra effort! Here I am at the Golden Gate Bridge for a YouTube video- DeathStar Destroys the Enterprise. Coming soon...
  18. How about this. The trim comes off easily.
  19. My first badge #.
  20. Ok guys, here I go again. Back & Butt plate separation. Am I there yet? Thx Scott and Daetrin for your encouragement! Here I am with Dave Prowse, aka: Darth Vader, with the GGG in San Francisco. I'm on the front right.
  21. What's up guys, My apologies for not keeping updated. I'm working on my Clone and havn't had anyonbe help take a photo. I will definitely have it soon. BTW, David Prowse will be signing in San Francisco, Pier 39 on Aug. 14-18, so I will get a fellow trooper to take a photo. Thanks for reminding me.
  22. Hello Mark, Here is a thin plastic sign I use for work. They are bought in our auto or hardware stores, ask for styrene plastic. It's only 1mm thick, so it is very pliable. Some of our TKs use it for their side armor to replace the gap. ------------
  23. Bro, they are the "for sale" signs or blinds for windows. Here in the US, they are thin plastic signs placed on car windows. You can buy these in any hardware or auto parts store. They flex easily and you can velcro them and glue the other end. Unfortunatley, you made need to paint them to match the color. The clone way is to use ABS plastic (bought at any plastic store or sign shop) and then use bondo or scupting putty to make it seamless. If you got some "skills" with a heat gun, you shape the plastic to your calves. Or some folks like to use boiling water which may be safer from warping as much. The Clones call this "spooning". Check out the Clone forum if you want to see their alternative. More work with sanding and painting, but would look much better if done correctly. Good luck!
  24. OK guys, back to the fitting room. It'll be awhile before I get a chance to take pics again.
