  2. Great work! Very impress with your work so far. Thanks for sharing, good karma!
  3. How many chicago screws required for the TFA suit and strap system? Quantity for suit? 1/4 best? Quantity for strap? I read that slightly longer than 1/4 or 6mm is best, say 8mm? Thx!
  4. Any more progress on the boots development? What estimates on the boots, shipping, paypal fees?
  5. Sad and disappointing. Some people do it for the love and honor to be the 75, while there is the one that do it for greed. The good thing about this, whoever crazy enough that buys it, loves it to spend that kind of $$. MTFBWY
  6. You have to have your armor 501st approved to get full access on the GGG forum. So get it done!!!! Once you've done that, and officially approved, just "bumped"/email the GGG staff or Mike Morrison(Web Master), that you need full access, if it does not happen asap. GGG meeting is on Feb. 7th, Saturday at St John's Bar & Grill (www.stjohnsgrill.com), 510 Lawrence Expressway #110, Sunnyvale, CA 94086, (408) 738-8515, time: 11:30pm to 2:00pm
  7. Great work, so far! Garrison meeting on Feb. 7, Saturday, in Santa Clara, at St. Johns (bar & hamburger), go to the GGG forum and let everyone know if you are coming. Unfortunately, I will be out of town that weekend.
  8. Have fun with the build. Show pics. There will be a garrison meeting, Feb. 7, in Santa Clara, at St. Johns Bar(bar and hamburger) Go to the GGG forum for the time. Unfortunately, I will be out of town that week.
  9. Never give up, never surrender! Keep up your build, Jeffrey, see you at a future troop or at Celebration 7 !
  10. Getting there, looking great so far! As soon as I finish my Han Solo carbonite project, I'll be building my NE TK too.
  11. Third TK armor build coming soon

  12. The forearms were the only padding I needed, more to keep it from turning. you'll need to recut your armor to fit youself. Use the thumb rule, your armor should fit you no bigger than the size of thumb/ approx. one inch. The bi-ceps may need more. Remember padding retains heat so you want to use it loosely and needs to dry out after troops or it'll smell and mildew/mold.( fyi: always air out gloves, helmet pads after troops) Hot glue is only temp so use Amazing goop, place glue on both parts for best results.
  13. Waiting for summer to really begin...

  14. Time for new armor...

  15. Tweeking my ATA armor, and repainting my AP stunt & hero helmets. :)

  16. Good seeing you guys from Central in SF. WonderCon photos are up at the Golden Gate Garrison gallery and in the forum with links. The official 501st pics at the carousel aren't posted yet. I had a great time, sore all over afterwards... but I was a TD and Fett for the Con. I will get back into my TK in the summer.
  17. Gone over to MEPD, but will be back in the summer.

  18. Congrats Dan in completing your TK! Wishing you and your family Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

  19. It's a 501st photoshoot that usually includes all the separate detachments and garrisons. If the boots is the only thing to keep you from being approved, I say come on down. All you're going to see is a mass of white armor bobble heads Hope to meet everyone there at CV or the 501st Bash, but I'll be in my Fett. You'll definitely see me at the Troop-Athlon representing the Golden Gate Garrison , look for the West Coast Wolf Pack, give me a howl and I'll give you a WCWP sticker Will be staying at the Quality Inn with six other GGG members, all flying in at different times. Anyone here signed up with Reed/CV volunteering? My schedule: for now.... Thurday 7AM-11AM: Registration 11AM-3PM: Laser Tag Friday 7AM-11AM: Registration 11AM-3PM: Volunteer Office Sunday 11AM-3PM: Meeting Room A-F
  20. Hi Karin, Like what everyone said, don't let one person get to you. I can speak for the GGG that bought from you, all of us appreciate your work for the canon latex hand guards and gloves. Have a great summer and have a glass of wine. You'll feel better, I guarantee it.
  21. I sewed my excess 2" nylon to the rest of my harness straps to hold my bells. The thickness of the nylon keeps the bells from flapping around and you will not need nylon around the bicep.

  23. @Hayes- the "Main Event"- Jon Stewart interview with George Lucas will be the one thing you want wake up early, tickets will be given out at 6AM, Saturday. Things to prep for this con: 1) First, make a check list of everything you need to bring and double check before leaving the house that you have it all. I've forgotten to bring my boots twice. 2) Have fresh/extra batteries for: fans, voice amp, mp3, lights. If you're a TK/TD- get your radio chatter loops. Again double check that everything works the night before. If flying, take all your batteries out, TSA will inspect anything with batteries/wires and they are not good in putting things back. 3) Lens defogger wipes 4) Good idea is wearing Skull cap, dull rag, or balaclava to adsorb the sweat & helps from stinking-especially wet foam 5) Good idea is a small camel back to hydrate for all day trooping and keeps you cool when you put it in a frige overnight 7) Neck coolers are also great for your head and neck- you wet it & it'll feel -10 degrees when worn 8) A hand towel, deodorant, t-shirts/undies,shorts,socks/sneakers, backpack & camera for after the troop 9) Hard candies are also good to keep your mouth from drying, food and drinks for all day troops, con prices are very high 10) If your wear contacts, put some eye drops before trooping, the fans will dry out your eyes. 11) If you plan to take on/off your armor frequently, have a repair kit- hot glue, super glue, clear packaging tape, Velcro, professional black (not the grey cheappy crap) duct tape, thread & needle, electric tape for wiring repair, etc. 12) Use the restroom before your troop 13) If you're bringing a bin to a general changing area, bring a "combination" lock, keys gets lost and then you're screwed.
