I'm calling BS on the "price of a nice car" bit. I'm currently building the car body sides, hoods, fenders and deck lids for the Aston Martin Vanquish . Granted they are carbon composite but the whole set ( 90% ) of the cars body comes in at around the same price as they were asking for that monstrosity . And The Aston is a damn site bigger than that lid, and the tooling involved vastly more expensive. That things worth £500 tops for novelty value.... If based on an accurate lid and not a Rubies.

Yeah.... About that. I'm gonna need them back soon and would prefer it if you washed them before return. Many thanks.

Yeah, But you look waaaaaaaaaaay older. Could be worse , you could be that old fart Haggis ( mid 50's and still trooping in the UK). I believe the "Old man of the Legion" is in his 70's and stil trooping ( Old Sarge?)

Sadly so. Perhaps it should either be fixed, or removed. This would save some of us "old timers" a great deal of stress and potentially increase the numbers on all detachments involved in the now failed/non working system.

Hi Josh. A lot of the answers you have recieved here are probably not what you were hoping to hear, but they are sadly pretty much on the money. If you are seriously considering joining the 501st it would probably be best if you started with a better lid. Perhaps you could stick it on ebay and hope that a non costuming Star wars collector snaps it up, then use the proceeds towards a more accurate lid. A pain in the rear in the short term , but worth it in the long term.
