  1. I do think the bump is the same on both models. the difference you are seeing here is that in the picture from SWH the angle is different and that lessens the effect of the bump. I myself hate it. no matter if it was on the movie or not LOL... i feel the trooper is having an eye tick prior to a complete nervous breakdown!
  2. Looks very good man. does that paint has the same colour temperature than the armor or will the armor be painted too?
  3. As far as I understood, both forearms are the same thing. One mould will do fine for both. I´m checking my FX forearms here and they look the same and I´m also checking the pics in the shepperton studios TK armor kit manual (A friend bought a helmet and it came with it and he lend it to me...indefenetly LOL) and it seems both forearms are the same also, even though he lists them for sale as two different parts (Left and Right.) now checking the movies I could swear both had differet sides shapes but I can´t really say i´m right about that impresion. hope that helps!
  4. that´s one of my favorite clones! looking forward to see it finished!
  5. The MEPD actually allow different pack standards. Ive seen ubber accurate and Ive seen adaptations, both look great for as long as you keep certain details to make it look like a field backpack. I´m doing a HWT. have the pack, the pauldron, the pouches and the MG-34/E-11 combo upgraded bucket to a MRCE and will probably weather the whole armor a bit (less is more technique). Now one queston about the weaponry. HWT should be experts in anything bigger that a carbine and minor to the deathstar cannon, but besides the bazooka in the game and the E-Web Cannon.... is there ANY other weapons accepted? rotary canons?... mortars?
  6. Wich photo... can we get a link? i guess you might be talking about the C4 legion photo shoot. What you see in there is basically 90-% AFX A few guys where using AFX armor with TE, ANH or AP helmets on them but basically they where AFX. Mine was. So guys I want to ask... Right now my small outpost has 4 stormtroopers in it. we all have AFX. now that I?ve seen all of them I?ve noticed something that it?s bothering me... you can see those guys necks but not mine. I have a small neck so it looks like someone hammered my helmet down my shoulders. I can?t raise it because then the lenses lift up too much and I go blind. So.... much to my depair i guess I?ll need to upgrade my bucket and get my old (just 4 months old!) helmet into a crystal box to display it for the rest of time as the first Helmet Commander Dargas used in combat missions. I refuse to sell it cause it has a huge sentimental thing built into it. My question is this: Wich one is the most screen accurate helmet there is? and sice I know the answer will be "the most expensive" I ask again wich is the most screen accurate helmet I can get that won?t kill my finances for a year! I just want to understand the differences between helmets and the pricing for those differences. Is it worth to pay the cost of a complete set of armor for just a helmet?? and then... I saw quite a few models in C4... specially Scott?s. but I don?t remember the model... I beleive it was ANH2?? and though I loved the size on the different helmets that weren?t AFXs i wasn?t really sure about the detail finish... The "finesse" on the detail of the final things. I?ve seen Impressive helmet pics like Gundam Zeppelin?s TE2 but once you get the ting in your hands you start seeing flaws on them (I am not stating yours has flaws my man!.... i?m just exemplifiying here). please help me on this point and if there is a nother thread about this topic please point me to it so I can keep rambling on. LEGAL DISCLAIMER: I still think AFX helmets and armor are beautiful and certailnly the PPL doing them are the most amazing and friendly builders there are, withouth them there wouldn?t be 2000 stromtroopers around the world and the only reason I?m "upgrading" my helmet is beause I hate that My neck can?t be seen as opossed to my fellow troopers. Regards!
  7. to you really! say, boozel!... where you at C4?
  8. How where you able to get a hold of that marvel?
  9. Yeah... i think i?ll go with boozel method. I?m cutting the happy trooper and derriere parts of my armor this weekend and do the upgrade. Great thinking there!
  10. After my experience on C4... and specially on the laser tag arena.... I?m really thinking about upgrading my system. I want to get a couple of squirrell fans for the side vents that I already have open, The ones below the eyes, where I currently have to normal pc 12 volt fans working on a 9 volt battery each. They work fine for an hour and after that they just can?t handle the heat.... they?re not strong enough! I?ll get the squirrel cage ones there and move the normal ones to the back vents so the squirrels get the fresh air in and the normal pc fans get the hot air out! Costa Rica?s Radio shack isn?t as good as in the states so I might have a hard time finding them.... but I?ll give it a shot anyway. Hey Scott!!! Say I just wanted to thank you for being such a Kind Ner-Vod in C4 man! I want to Thank ALL of you guys that where there at C4 that treated me as a brother even though some of you had no idea there was a Costa Rica outpost!! It?s by far the nicest experience I?ve ever had in my entire life and the thing that made it beautyful was how everybody trated all as their brothers and sisters! Thanks again for being there guys you made mine C4! Thanks for the vent tutorial too! It?s gonna help me a LOT! Best regards from the Tico Stormtrooper who just couldn?t say no to a mission!!!
  11. That?s an impressive thing you did Scott!!! i?m looking forward to start working with the Childrens Hospital. Very soon I guess, we?ve had amasing coverage by the media here!
  12. yesterday Rocked!!!! we celebrated the legion birth and we where able to gather around (edited due to new data:) 2000 overall ppl in the event!!! from 10:00 am to 5:01pm we took pictures and did trooping and stuff in the National Kids Museum in here!!! We didn?t took our lids off in public EVER! it was a Storm! Kids and dads alike! Moms and girls!!! EVERYBODY wanted to take a picture with the troopers! it was something the like we?ve never seen in Costa Rica regarding a starwars thing! Gotta say it: Mission Accomplished!!! KEEP THE HELMETS ON BROTHERS!
  13. I?m burning to se the finished thing
  14. Yep... that?s a classic. That game is the reason I became an imperial in the first place. I fell in love with the Imperial Armada as a Tie Pilot.
  15. jajajaja Right on Cap?n! If we have to walk from the hotel to the event I will! everyday! fully dressed!!!
  16. Republic Commando by a long shot!!! Xwing vs Tie Fighter Bounty Hunter and the Battlefront series Rebellion the rest
  17. I don?t think the Gaffer Trooper is the answer... I?d go with the belt system
  18. How much are you asking for them?
  19. I personally don?t like them with 4, less five! I like 3 on them... the lid looks creepier!
  20. Scott... I feel it?s great!!! I would pass the helmet on!! i actually modded mine by following your steps!!! Don?t feel discouraged please! You?re doing an impressive and excellent job on this mod!!! Finish it please!!
  21. Once my Mark IV is aproved I would like to volunteer to aprove Mark status aplicants. Let me Know. Cheers!
  22. Or maybe just take a resume of your campaign to get the markIV status and use it to exemplify the standarized process Scott!!! I would like to know who takes the final determination on the Mark status too.
  23. I?ve been able to drink thru a straw and thru the mesh in my darth vader costume! I Agree... we have to keep it real for the kids! In here I never take the helmet off while in public!! If I go out dressed is fully dressed and in character... if I have to take the helmet off it?ll be in the bathroom or somewhere where the kids won?t look at me and be dissapointed. It should be a rule of thumb not to take the lid on public unless in a really strict nessecity! Pardon my english!
