  1. well yeah i guess General Sir... although i dont know if really what I want to strive for is a ROTJ trooper... i?m yet to find the differences between the two of them. I really would like to know about the intercomms system and if anyone else has done it. Can some one please point me out into the right thread?...There?s so much to read here!!! Thanks in advance guys! Dargas.
  2. yeah! hahahaha I measure 1.80 mts tall and have strong formed legs and a broad back so that helps a lot with the overall look of the armor on my frame...the problem is the tummy! Too many "Gallo Pintos", "Empanadas de carne" and fried eggs in the morning I guess... have to start spinning or something! Dargas.
  3. I did! jajjajajaja but I guess my tummy was stronger...what i?m thinking is following the old Sarge?s way of strapping the armor. It?ll be sturdier that way. Thanks for the tip! Dargas.
  4. Well I?m going fully dressed from the hotel...that?s for sure. Hopefully Captain Crazas will drive me in everyday so I don?t worry too much... i?m acustomed (is that the correct way to write that?...my english needs improving...damn!) to be fully dressed as Darth Vader for 8 hours in a row so i?m used to it. anyway if I need to go in a bus....well...i?ll do it too...fully dressed! how are you guys going to face that issue? Dargas.
  5. I apologise for the late post too...but congratulations form all of us here in the outpost!!! You?ll be great as a Dad! And we?ll be here to cheer you up on THE most important Mission of your life! Upbringing your child! Congrats again Paul! Dargas!
  6. Actually in case of an upgrade i would like the AP bucket better.... i like the faceplate more than the other two... i find them a little horsey-long (please don?t be offended!!!) Although that would make an issue on to how to make the electronics fit in on the new sized helmet... since all of our buckets in the Costarican outpost include: 2 cooling fans with tubing along the filter rim to spread venting on the complete thing, 1 headset with mic, 1 med speaker on the chin piece, on/off sistems and batteries... I guess the walkie talkie will need to stay in the belt along with the speaking button to allow helmet to helmet comms between members of the same companny while cancelling the normal speaker. one question...how many ppl are getting intra comms into their helms to comunicate silently with other troopers in the same companny? I?m yet to see one...is this been done or are we the first to make this?...i?m kinda curious on this matter! Where can I find a list on the actual mods I need to do to my FX to make it look 95 to a 100% accurate? is there a site of something with refference shots?... I?m on my way to C4 and would like to work on my Armor prior to that and represent my Outpost proudly! Thanks in Advance Brothers! Dargas.
  7. or the kind that wants to make it stay together BETTER...like me! jajajaja. Hope to see you guys there! Best of Lucks! Dargas.
  8. I see.... well...certainly I wasn?t really happy, the first time I put it on, with the way the legs and calfs looked so i went ahead and trimmed it a bit and replaced the Velcros to Form these pieces better. I do agree about the chest piece Since I have a bit of a tummy If I?m Not very careful on the way the shoulder straps are placed and if the abdomen plates are not very tight then the chest opens up at the botom... i hope I made myself understood! jjajaja anyway I beleive it doesn?t look half bad. I have to admit that since I?m a begginer on this matter I feel really happy and "in Love" with my armor. Here?s a sample! Let me know what you think so I can take notes into what to adjust! Thanks in advance Brothers. Dargas
  9. ok guys...besides the size of the bucket.... what else is unacurate in the FX? I look at mine and it looks just perfect! Dargas.
  10. Just don?t drink too much gatorade??? Why???
  11. as soon as I get my affiliation aproved I?ll sign up! let?s see what happens! Dargas.
  12. I like the expression in the FX by a long shot over the rt and ap buckets. I have an imperial TK 1.80 mt tall standard issue body so it fits just perfectly and the sculpt of the FX bucket looks meaner that the other ones. I have to agree on the fact that working on your OWN armor is something that should not be missed! when you finish working on it you feel a conection with it!!... well it happened to me... pay no mind. Gotta go.... I errr... think i left the stove on....yeah.
  13. Amen to that my Bolivian Friend! Mine is already finished but I still find that I need to adjust a few straps in place. I had to modify the size of the backsides of the legs so I could sit down without piercing my legs with the borders! I actually had the chance of starting filming for the fan film we are doing here and being produced by Marco Morales from the audiovisual company Videocast Studio. I had to do all the stormtroopers in those particular scenes and I had to represent at least 20 diferent troopers in action, including death by blaster fire scenes, marching scenes, standing guard scenes and paying attention and talking in free time scenes. All of them filmed against a green backdrop. It was really fun to do...specially the death by blaster fire scenes in wich is really difficult to actually drop dead with the armor on while being blow away! let?s see what happens ans the production goes on and Marco integrates me against the 3d environment! I?ll keep you posted! Regards Brothers! Dargas.
  14. That?s sooo right! I just got mine last saturday... an FX one. I was so excited that I just wanted to see it finished within minutes! Thanks The Emperor that one friend of mine that has a TX armor told me to be patient since all that run with the armor while putting it together ussualy blow it sky high!!! following his advice I took 2 days just to assemble the helmet and between yesterday and today I?ll finish the rest of it. I found that some of what the manual states on how things have to be done where not the best for me in some stances. I have another example witha fellow girl trooper in the TX group that exchanged her white TK amor for a Black TX armor, but since the armor was already "Fused" into place in several parts she is having trouble adjusting it to her smaller frame. The manual states thsi VERY crearly, Measure Twice, Glue Once! Once you glue something in this armor it MUST stay that way...so be sure that when you buy something...IT?S ACTUALLY WHAT YOU NEED! Good Luck Troopers! Dargas. 501st Costarican Outpost (being reviewed for acceptance) Administrator.
