  1. I would say its from a TE2. Thats my guess. Chips in forehead (as stated by others here) Eyes aren't as bulbouse as CAPs The fifth frown hole is almost non existant. If the helmet was a recast off a CAP - IMO - the 'frames' under the eyes would noticably bulge slightly more. Also TE2 helmets are a softer looking pull when compared to CAP's due to the modifications he has made to his moulds. Some areas are over exaggereated so to speak. If this was from a CAP then I would be expecting the fifth, even the fourth hole, to be more defined... But this is all just speculation. Heck maybe it is off a CAP. All this stuff may have been modified so much so, its what we see now.
  2. From what it was, to what it is now, it looks simply amazing!
  3. Got a pair of the real biker scout gloves for 4 GBP. I was stoked!
  4. Gino is protecting his items from the people who would abuse them. ATM its more like a viral quarantine sitiuation. If you cough, your ill. I don't blame him at all... seems like everyone has the plague these days
  5. No one's bragging - nor will they be. I'm shattered, as Paul is a great guy. Always willing to help me out with what ever I needed, as he had done so for alot of you guys. He helped me begin construction of my vac table, and his knowledge there is priceless. I couldn't have thought higher of him. However I would be a hipocrite if I supported recasting here, but cursed VT,CAP etc etc for the same deed. And you would be one of the first to call me so.. Even your "Bro's" know its not plausible.. - CAP - R2Dan - Vaj - GundamZeppelin As it is now we're bickering pointlessly getting nowhere. Can we please keep to the evidence now? Either for, or against. Cheers
  6. Its not a attack directed centraly on the person, but on a claim they are making. If someone said stormtroopers were blue, would you attack the man - or attack the claim, with proof? Thats whats being done here. Many a time Gino has expressed his beliefs and has been told to shelve it untill he has proof. Now he has gone and provided some rather incriminating evidence, you still ask for more and come back with "oh, that isn't enough", "you forged those pics". I see why he gets frustrated, its like when a child first learns the question "Why?". They use it endlessly, no matter what response they get, they recieve another "but, WHY?" in reply to further on the game they play. Irrespective of how I feel of you RR, I won't fall so low as to say either way, in a public forum. To add, I do own one and I didn't think it possible either! with so many little things being just off. But when I saw the picture of the bump this morning - such a tiny, negligible detail replicated here - My heart sank. My helmet doesn't have the bump. I just checked. Its a hero version from christmas 07 IIRC. I'm guessing it is only on the stunt mould then. I know Ghost is a stand up bloke and wouldn't lie about such a thing.. Yet its not on the newer updated versions as other people have spoken up saying its not on theirs either. So you have to ask, if it was indeed an accurate detail added on purpose, why remove it in more accurate later runs?
  7. Runninriot - Your and Gino's reasons for being in this hobby are vastly different. Doesn't mean he is less welcome than you.. Heck I'm here for the same buzz kick he gets from an accurate prop! does this paint a null & void logo on my opinion too?? (Even though I already saw your opinion of me rr) Point is - the "likely bunch" seems to be doing their fighting, but the only thing they can use to help defend TM is diverting the thread via character assasination. Enough of it. Its not helping Paul at all. I'd like to see straight forward facts, and as I said on the rpf, these pictures (from two sources now) make me feel quite uneasy about the whole situtation.. Not excusing myself previously being in a PM war with Gino disagreeing with this very topic. If I can see something is not right here in these pics, you should be able to also... Smitty had the coconuts to say so. Fair enough if you like recasts, or enjoy supporting them. Its your biff, your burdon. No need to get so upset when someone calls out a fellow member for their morals. It may just mean you guys have more in common than you thought!
  8. The chest assembly and strap lengths deffinately make the chest look puffier. I think the reason most (if not all) of the troopers have such a low flying helmet is due to the chest armour sitting up off the shoulders. I've wondered this exact thing for quite a while, and thats what Ive come up with. I don't understand why they do, but most of the ANH suit stills I've seen have the armour riding high.
  9. This is mine, done up 100% identical to the movie strapping. I have come to realise a few things about the strap lengths and how it works, so more adjustments will be needed On the mannequin at the moment, I did have some pics of myself wearing it but I cannot find them ahh
  10. Yes the mould damage was there, you are correct! The mould damage was sustained when it was in Gino's possesion - or when it was sent back to Matt. However as far as I'm aware no more bumpy helmets were made from this mould after the fact, that is until it was purchased by TE2. I have never once seen a TE with this feature... I could be wrong I supose. To be fair I shall ask Matt next time I get the chance. Cheers
  11. Hey Paul, I used Dulux white house paint on the ones I made. The type that has a measure of latex in it. Just brush it on with a sponge brush and it will go on smooth as, and is flexible enough for wearing the hand backs on troops/filming or what have you. Of couse if you double over the hand back, it will strech the paint a bit too much causing cracks. But that is to be expected. Hope that helps
  12. The hero has been digitally scanned? That would be nice to see.
  13. I believe TM's Hero is the only one that has the propper "Look" so far.
  14. Looking forward to your new Hero - I'm sure it will flaw the others
  15. Suits/hero helmets were 0.060 abs.. for most of the parts, thinner for others.. and HDPE for the stunt helmets
  16. The helmet was auctioned off @ Christies in 95. It was listed as a promotional helmet used for the Empire Strikes Back. As we know the ESB helmets were restored ANH. This one looks to be done up rather badly, and has had new ears (or very damaged/warped?) botched together then added. The faceplate and back/cap look original to me. Replicas of this kind were not around back then. There was the Joiner (fibreglass) and the AA "proto" helmets. And this is neither. There is no doubt in my mind that the lenses were green.
  17. AP's use a different faceplate to the GF. I've noticed AP's armour has changed in the last little while eg. chest plate. So there will be minor differences there too. But its deffinately a GF.
  18. Awesome mate!! Thanks a million
  19. Hey Onigiri, Here's a photo I've had for a while now. Its of a helmet that was auctioned off in 1995. This helmet was used to promote the film during 1977-1980 and is one of the very first promotion/tour helmets. Long before AAs. Its clearly done up as a hero, and has bubbled lenses that are green. IMO there is no doubt the original lenses were green.

Hey Stuka. Could I ask how tall you are w/ shoes off? I'm just gauging an idea of how my set will fit me.
