  1. That's brilliant Jez! In celebration, something for your site!
  2. lol! It doesn't look like much, but it was gaping, man, gaping! I could see layers, before the blood welled up. The black bits are plastic from the side of the hengstler that got stuck in the cut. I had to pick them out with tweezers. The moral of the story is. Don't Dremel when your Dozy!
  3. Okay. I got something awesome in the post this morning, thanks to the wonderful Mr. Billy Haggis! Isn't that a thing of beauty? :D So I started the mods, which are pretty minimal tbh. I took off all the extraneous gubbins. Then I trimmed a 17mm wide strip off an A4 sheet of inkjet vinyl sticker. Wapped it around the middle section of the scope, where the indented band for the night light was removed. I wrapped it around several times to bring the level of the indentation up to the level of the rest of the scope, trimming about 27mm of excess off at the bottom, so no-one can see the line. I'm not going to obsess over getting the M38A2 looking exactly like an M38, this is enough. Also! I cut out the side of my hengstler... ...And my thumb!
  4. Good luck man, I'm in the same boat (if you'll pardon the pun). I'm trying to start a web design business, tho, I'm too 5h17 scared to join any armed forces, plus I'm probably over the hill at 35.
  5. Just seen this too. That was AMAZING! from what Mike had to start with to what Kent ended up with is mindblowing. Kent, you're a lucky sod. Mike, you are a master craftsman and a genius.
  6. Thanks mate! I'm going about it slightly differently I've taken the thick strip of abs off the back completely to make it more flexible. It was brown trousers time cutting that off! Pics when finished. (not of the brown trousers!)
  7. She thought Cloverfield was pretty good, I thought it was one of the worst pieces of crap I've ever seen. I fast forwarded it through the whining and idiocy to get to the monster parts. Thanks Billy and ThayNerd. We had a go at my belt on Saturday, sawing the back off it to make way for one of FBJs lovely canvas numbers.
  8. Well done Colin, the belt looks the mutts. Cheers, mate! Mine's a water with on ice and a slice of lemon.
  9. Thank you Chazz! Colin's paint job really made it tho!
  10. Thanks guys! Saves another expenditure. My resin E-11 fits in there quite nicely.
  11. Okay, I got the chance to compare my holster with Colin's today (It's one made by Bernard and is totally sweet). It's about an inch taller and an inch wider and the fastening is a pin type arrangement (see photos). If modded to attach in the correct way would this be acceptable for Elite? -----------
  12. My TK boots are the most expensive shoes I currently own. Crazy what this hobby does to you.
  13. Well, I wussed out totally and my hero, Colin Anderson came to the rescue and painted the frown teeth for me. Check this out: Spot on!
  14. I was immediately drawn to the back of the knee joint. The SDS is supplied with straight backs across the knees. I need to cut out the back to match this, there'll be so much more movement in there. Thanks for the pic!
  15. I totally agree Marcel. I have had to shim the sides, and the thighs and cut 2cm off the thighs and calfs. I was so scared to do this at first, but it's getting easier and easier. For the price paid, the SDS still needs a fair amount of upgrading. The strapping system is garbage, tha ab buttons too. It is uber glossy though!
  16. I'm an IT Consultant; used to be an IT manager. As an IT manager, it is your duty to whitelist your personal favourite sites. You rule the company Internet access. Make your presence felt.
  17. As I said on the phone earlier, Colin, congratulations mate. I've got bits to make a new sight for that blaster. You'll end up having to repaint a wee bit though.
  18. Ouch! Good luck with the surgery, hope everything goes well and heals up nicely. You don't want to end up going Anikin and Luke on us, do you.
  19. I'm sure yours will be better than the resin one that I have already. It's a bit wonky.
