Thanks for all the help guys!
The helmet Im basing this on has the wide frown with white end teeth. Theres no close ups, so I decided to use the Move along helmet's frown as a model (I love that look!).
I painted it with a very satin black, and Im happy with the result.
Thanks again.
Thanks for the tip Armando.
I take the opportunity and say that your painting and weathering is perfect and your work is very inspirational to watch! Thanks!
Thanks guys! I didnt know of a 6-teeth ESB. Id love to see it!
Looks great. I agree, I have only seen satin black details on ESB.
I found this pic showing a wide frown with a white end tooth. I dont know how Id miss that as I tried to base my build on this trooper. The wide frown is also my fav look.
Hi guys. Im trying to get how the ESB frowns look. There seem to be different looks, one ending right before the fifth tooth, and these seem to be wider or more narrow at the edges:
and one more wide going outside the fifth tooth.
Have I got it right?
Can someone tell if the top pic has filled the tooth with black?
Does anyone have good pictures of the wide frown helmets (like the bottom pic)?
Thanks for any help!

Yeah, but coming from the same mould, shouldnt the cap and back bet the same anyway? Nvm, guess its just me seeing things. Just that the back profile around the tube looks different.
Yeah, I love that look.
I have painted the black stuff, the rubber trim. I have weathered it lightly, I might add some more.
What do you think of the frown? Is it ok?
Can someone please explain how I add/insert the mesh to the hovimicks?
Thanks
Youre lucky!
Looks really nice! Im guessing the grey ear color must have reacted to the base color, or the base hadnt cured fully? You sorted it out fine.
Hey all. I painted the lid today. I used a VW white color that is slightly broken. I did this in an attempt to make the helmet look aged. Its hard to say if the color is to grey.
The paint job is a mess -as planned . A lot of runnings and dust. I havent removed the spots where I want the paint to look chipped yet. I havent decided if I want to paint it with a more bright white. I put it on hold and decide later.
What do you guys think? Does this darker white help the aged prop look, or should I go with a brighter white?
Heres a pic from starwarshelmets.com to show what Im aiming for.
