  1. Man that is sad. Like you my thoughts are with his family.
  2. ATA can be contacted at ATAworks@yahoo.com. (Heres a good thread to give you background to it:http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=7239&hl=question+ata) TE, well I dont know any info on bying his helmets. TE2, is made by XXXXXX, a cool guy. Hes around these boards. Troopermaster or TM, a very nice guy, makes a helmet that is very popular, and hes on these boards. JoeR are selling awesome looking ROTJ helmets. Hes also on these boards. If I got anything wrong, then please correct me guys. Cheers
  3. Hi. Heres my ATA: --------- Which is best? Really tough question, as price and personal preference are factors. Many say the TE2 is the most accurate helmet around.
  4. Thanks for the info! Perhaps they used the primer to make the paint and glue stick to the plastic better? There seems to have been problems with paint flaking from start. Thanks.
  5. Thanks Jez! Your site made a huge impact on me first visiting a few years back, and my love for the original look is all due to it! Its the greatest site for knowledge and inspiration when it comes to SW helmets. Thanks for the info on the primer also. Were some red and others grey primered?
  6. Vielen dank Stefan! At the moment Im looking for the straps, inner foam and correct green acetate film. Now its the original lens and nothing more. Oh yeah Its painted grey on the inside, as I read on Jez site that one of the ESB helmets were painted with primer grey inside. Ill post pics as soon as I get the interior stuff.
  7. I totally get you. Your CE looks very good though!
  8. Thanks Thanyne and Armando! Your helmets have been great inspirations for me during my build so your words means alot! Ryan: Its for display but it could be used. I think Id make the paintjob and details more idealizaed if it were for trooping. I just adore the sloppy prop look, but the kids prolly dont. Thanks Cristaan, means alot! We posted at the same time.
  9. Hi everyone, heres my ESB helmet. Im awaiting new brow trim, but other than that the exterior is done. Its ATA and I found the kit to be very sharp and nice to work with. I used decals from TK4510, and Im very pleased with them. Im planning to do the interior as the originals, and Ill post pics when its finished. Thanks!
  10. That is beautyful! Love the color too. I think ROTJ looks cool.
  11. Man I just find this pic hilarious! The suit is looking great!
  12. Hey just by asking that question, makes me think you should consider something more movie accurate. Next you will start to look at the strange frown, or the small eyes, or the narrow face, or the big cut away. I have a friend and he does prefer the symmetrical CE look, but he would never think of the details mentioned. Or the brow not lining with the trap. Guys Im not bashing the CE, it does have its strenghts.
  13. Im sure it will be a success! Have fun and looking forward to the pics!
  14. Looking great! I noticed you cut the eyes with some plastic left in the middle (the "nose corner"), is that hero style or is it a look you like? As for wonky, well the originals are also wonky, so my guess is you might get the same thing with more expensive kits. You have great skills and will no doubt have one awesome set when youre done.
  15. You raise a valid point. Its all copyright infringement from the oiginal. But as long as Lucas dont mind, its ok. And its all recast.
  16. Well the CE is thick ABS and nicely made, and IF you want the symmetrical look, then thats the one for ya. However if you rather ït look wonderfully wonky, like the ones in the movies, and can take it being thinner HIPS then ATA is a better buy.
  17. Thanks for the great side by side pic! Very interesting!
  18. The MR CE is nice. Just want to ask, have you considered the ATA helmet? I bought a MR CE at e-bay a while back. Maybe the price has gone up since then.
