"...And these dance steps, too accurate for Sandpeople. Only Imperial stormtroopers are so precise." doubtful, considering the timeframe, those were more than likely ANH suits

How do I apply the holster?
missingpieces replied to Bromancelot's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
most use rivets. i found some small male snap back that are almost the same size as the rivets used. this lets me use or remove my holster if needed. -
if you need to trim the RE for more comfort do it. start by removing a 1/8" at a time. that adds up to a 1/4" in diameter. doesnt sounds like much, but you'd be suprised. remember, once its gone...its gone. the return edge makes the armor look "substantial" so try and keep it if you can.

i skimmed your post and didnt read any replies, BUT at the most basic level: Be yourself and screw the rest. so many people think that they are the "only one" like this or worry about others opinions (you should, but to a degree..a small degree). trust me, be true to yourself and you'll find and make better friends than you would being fake. cheers!

of course its more complex. i was just giving basic advice that has worked for me...even eating "crappy" food. for the most part if you burn more than you put in you'll lose weight. the point in limiting caloires would be to lose weight. once you reach your goal you should be able to increase your intake to maintain (to avoid that whole "starvation mode" thingy). BUT, your the nutritionist...

count your calories...try for 1400 or so a day. wait till you start reading labels and see how many calories most thing are, not to mention most things are packaged as TWO servings...so double that number on the box. excercise and get your heart rate up for an hour or so. start slow and work your way into though. not need to hurt yourself and/or burnout quickly. you should be able to drop 2-3lbs a week like this. at that rate. you can easily reach you goal in a meager 3 months! as long as your "good" and stick to it! no beer...'cept on friday! of course the amount you lose varies from person to person. probably more at first since your body will be in "shock" definitely do you best to cut out all sugar...sodas are the devil. and its a lifestyle change. doing what you do now got you where you are today

general questions about future ap kit build[*AP]
missingpieces replied to tcf's topic in ANH Build Threads
i use devcon but am becoming a fan of CA glue and e6000. i dont use any fans, some do, some dont. you do not need to purchase the brow/neck trim. go for two pice "under armor" style suits. as for the shoulder bells, it depends. if you attaching them to the chest/back us webbing. if your going for the two shoulders connected together idea use elastic between the two bells. -
Rubies Armor - first look
missingpieces replied to journeymanprotector's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
i would like to see it worn properly. which no picture i have seen has had it displayed/worn properly. the helmet, obviously, is crap. the rest of ths suit just looks like a soft recast (maybe its the material that its made of) ROTJ/tour suit. honestly, its alot more correct than the FX. wether you want to believe it or not. edit: well this is what i get for skipping page two! the armor looks fine (for ROTJ), the helmet NO!!! -
Proposed CRL for Felucian Stormtrooper Officer - Obsolete
missingpieces replied to TK-1422's topic in Stormtrooper Commander
thats "clutch" from the florida garrison/makaze squad, his armor has been like that for years. when we all saw the STC we all though "did LFG jack his armor scheme?". his helmet has the exact stripe, albeit in black. -
he is already making them, or atleast offered me the choice last time i called him

They definitely aren't authentic props. ZING!!! they are sink faucet aerators.

O M G! questions! answers! -
well this bit is kinda obvious. BUT thank you "Origianl Recasters" for bringing this costume too us. we all cant afford those dollar / pound exchange rates <_<
-
hey, thanks for your reply. echoing you sentiments to a degree....i always saw it as if you sculpt it you can get mad, if you bought/ stole/ had access to something some else made then its all recasting. even if its recasting a recast. since, if im not mistaken the ANH / ROTJ was scuplted over 30/20yrs ago not that i care, ive just always wondered and the conversation usual delves straight into name calling and flaming! as it looks like it might do again.

ive read that before and it doesnt really answer my ?

PLEASE no hissy fits! I'm asking because I dont quite know. I dont want to incite a riot about this subject. sensible replies appreciated. the armor listed above was derived from a movie suit? right? werent the molds made by backfilling said suit? is that recasting? if not, why? ...and, again, PLEASE no hissy fits! I'm asking because I dont quite know.
