Looks great!!!! i agree no sence in doing touch ups as u want to get back to your usually BMI One question are your thigh plates glued? i ask as that your right leg must have under goen some muscular atrofia, but that should get back up to speed once u have your prosthetic limb and start your excercise regieme. if not getting another thigh plate should be a snap! Once again congrats on getting your armor!!!!! 501st enlistment should be around the corner!!!!!! and EIB one or two blocks down very cool!!!!

I agree with asking questions!!!!! But i do think that theres a diference in asking questions and just ignoring simple " new in a forum" protocol. Like most ppl i do jump in and not read the instrutions, and most of the time i figure it out, with out the need to read the instrutions. but that doesny mean i dont read the instrutions after wards at some point. The idea of looking at the early psots is great because both new and the older guys can remember the evolution the forum had. and quite honestly some of the best historical info are in the first posts. And this way we can start the health habit of looking/researching questions rather than asking a question that has an entire area and multipule threads!!!!! And like Vic said it may be true that Paul may have not worked with Brain Muir in the the develpoment of the TK, but thats one of the best things that i think the FISD has brought to the Legion and costuming as a whole, and the reason that Paul has been and is currently our DL. Paul with help of past/current admis and the members of the FISD has cratead one if not the friendlyest place for new guys. there isnt that arogance or superiority complex that most other costuming forums have about the older guys beening all knowing and all powerful. theres a true kinship among members here that i think is the biggest accomplishment this detachment has had!!! (Troopers helping Troopers) Good call Vic!!! take your time to research, steer the pot once in a while to help resurface awesome posts that get left behind. but most importante remember that every one at one point has been as clueless as one feels the first times they venture into the research building of the FISD.

I forget how the stroy went in regards to the green Vs gray lens, but it came about in a interview woth hamill stating that the lens in the movie were one color and the helmet that recived as a gift had a different color...... the story/thread about color lens for hero is in one of the threads in here some were........ thats way i went with grey bubbeld...... i thing the general concencus was that the grey was used ( at lesat i dont think we had found the green bubbled pic for reference yet..... Or at least there wasnt any evidence that they were screen used and not in the promotional pics of suits that were used later..... this is 3-4 yrs ago i really dont remember 100%. chime in any one that really knows???

Some ppl glue one end and velcro the other, velcro both,glue both and then slide them on like boxers there a few threads around here about the side panel area.

Questions: -are thous rivits on the right lower leg armor? -is your holster made of leather or black canvas? could we see some close up of the Mics? Over all i think it looks good

Down here we are finishing spring and going into summer, we just had or end of spring showers. Granted its not as hot as it gets in some place in the states it must be around 60-75 degrees.

Hmmmm well i guess that at the end the triple paper work would at least give some piece of mind for us intrenational guys but imagine haveing to do a run of Legion patches, key chains etc !!!!!!!!!!!!

and from what i know only the hero helmets had a dark lens just for that, the stunts rerally didnt get any good close ups for that to happen.

currently in the EIB CRL there isnt a "Has to be like clause" for this. but yes 2 stunt/4 hero is encourged. in most pics of the belt/holster area u see Rivits. someppl have used snaps. Personally if it was me u rather do the rivit thing now then later change. i dont think the screws look to Star Warish...but thats my opinion.

Now lets not forget that there was a major delay and shipping trouble of most of the original suits that were supostu be in tunzia with the rest of the stuff when the shooting started and that didnt happen. so imagine having to change and do shots with was at hand and all that. thats explains all the wonkyness..... i also agree the i like the little offness that one can find around the movies....

U can pretty much almost do any thing u want, as long as its not a Offical troop/event asked for cannon troopers. Granted that doenst mean to go crazy and brand a Goauld staff with a roman scutum and a iron man helmet...... regular troop DCon might be different ;P I personally am more inclined to be as cannon as posible at all times, but thats a personal preverance..... i like cannon thats why i joind the 501st and not one of the other groups that dont care about it. If it was me i would make a HWT that way i am still cannon and can use a lewis..... ( actually thats what i did but i am not applying for HWT EIB because i only have one suit of armor. but i can swap the HWT parts out or in really easy.

O_o hun.... i guess my highschool music teacher was right about cleaning your equipment after every use.... Did u pack it right after u took it off? i usually let it sit that night and clean and pack the next day ( hard pieces that is) I agree pics ,PICS we want pics!!!!!!
