  1. The fx armour fits you well
  2. Ok maybe i was dreaming it being included in the EIB options list.. i see its in the crl for the anh hero and though it may have been an option for eib. Detachment Stormtrooper Approved Options Stormtroopers may have the following •Grappling hook * •Comlink * •DLT-19 * Is there any chance of making the SE-14R an option for hero eib troopers?
  3. If the helmet fits leave as is, if you still cant get your head in trim off some more. Simples dont forget these more accurate helmets need to be put on at 90' and then spun round like a screw top, so whatever you do you can never get them on facing forward... so dont over do it...
  4. Just a quick question, the SE-14R used to be acceptable for EIB ANH EIB status, a possible alternative sidearm for the hero version if i remember correctly? Was this dropped recently when the requirements were amended?
  5. I think the eyes look ok to me, maybe wait until its all finished and wear it a couple of times before you decide to sand them any more.. its upto you at the end of the day mate
  6. Post up a pic of the underside neck hole if you wish, but you can take a little from everywhere or where you think you need to.
  7. Weldone on getting EIB Chris you look good And the butt rivets are not painted on the screen used costumes, i think if you pull the butt lower you will be fine.
  8. I have found the Ap lid to be one of the smallest, just use the curved trimming scissors to cut a little more off the neck hole or a knife and score and snap
  9. Ok lets try and see if we can get Simon sorted, i know he has put a lot of time and effort into his clean armour Helmet off picture Blaster close up shots Helmet close up pictures Anything else needed here?
  10. Congrats on getting EIB, welcome to the ranks
  11. HI Shiv you have the lid put together correctly from what i can see. These lids are assymetrical in design having screen lineage, the ap is more cleaned up than some other available helmets. You will notice once the ears are fitted the lid will look more normal.
  12. Overall your looking very good, should be an easy pass
  13. Ok i was cleaning my helmet earlier today ( ) and took some pics for you. This was detailed by Rolf TD 252 but all my lids look the same inside The first 3 pics are my helmet and the bottom one is an original esb i think?
  14. Ok lets sort this guy some lenses and move along, move along
  15. You can follow the trim lines, but what i tend to do is just roughly trim the neck line by a couple of mm first and then when the helmet is put together take it off nice and slow so its just about big enough to fit my head in, so's it's not too large. And yes the rubber trim will make the hole smaller again, so allow for that
  16. Looks much better there Mark, i would cut out the teeth more also. Good work buddy for a first build
  17. I find the views here about screen accuracy and health and safety and the worry about parts falling off particularly funny.. just for the sake of having a few rivets and subtly placed snaps, bodge tape or the odd plaster doesnt mean your gear will be uncomfortable or likely to be unsuitable for hours of trooping It just adds an extra layer of realism to a set of white plastic. I bet half the people meeting me at events dont even notice a couple of snaps in my armour, the flaky paint on my black chelsea boots or the fact that nothing holds the rear of my shins closed But whatever you do, dont ask me what the plaster on my belt is for
  18. If he hasnt responded in a week or so maybe he is on vacation, it is holiday season after all
  19. My thought exactly Paul
  20. Nice 1 Nate, what flavour is this going to be, ANH or ESB?
  21. I think the eyes look great as they are, nice job Luis
  22. Ok my progress on this build has been slow as i juggle working on everything i have in hand.. Ok i have painted the ears, frown and vocoder and for the first time building an ANH helmet, i have used a decal kit for all the traps and the tube stripes. These decals from Mike TK 4510 are a really great colour match to the humbrol #5 i used here on the rest of the helmet. And they do look fantastic, a really great alternative to painstakingly painting the details by hand. I still need to fit the hovi tips, which i have painted using satin black and add the lens and i need to re-do the vocoder, as the paint ran..
