  1. We can help with the putting together. The rest is up to you! Lol Seriously though, I made sure we had the money and the use of it wouldn’t totally screw our finances. I estimated $2k for the project and came out under that even with a few mess ups. But I knew if I used all of it I’d still be getting groceries for my family. Then I went on to the fact that it’s a charity thing with the added benefit of a cool Halloween costume (can’t overlook the obvious). She was all for the TK and the TB took some talking into, I’m gonna hold off on a third costume for now. Trooping has been great for my kids, my oldest two both girls 12&10 have costumes themselves and come with me when they can. My son who is 8 wants to, but he’s not quite there yet in terms of maturity. My wife has no desire to do any of this but will come and see me with my son when she can. Just be honest with her and hope for the best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I hear AP is having a sale if your still looking for armor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. First off with posting pics some people use a third party like imgur or tapatalk. I’m sure there are a few more but you get the idea. As for the armor maybe it’s me but I’m confused where you want to trim the arc. At the wrist or elbow? I’ve seen it done at the elbow and I’ve also seen some people leave it uneven. I’m fairly sure if you look you can find examples of both within the original movie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Great job on everything. Looks nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. October 17, 2019 Montgomeryville PA This was a troop for special needs children and adults that can’t go out on Halloween for various reasons. It’s my second year doing it and it’s always nice to see how happy everyone gets. Real easy troop, the people that host us have a background and they take pics and print them right there for the families. 7. I use tapatalk you just add pics from the app. It mainstreams the forum though so it’s a different look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Looking good! As for the hand guards I used gorilla glue and it seems to hold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Guess I’ll try to help out. I’m not Centurion and obviously if you want to get the title of Centurion through this forum you need to explore the option of EIB first. It’s a “rank” based program you need one before the other. Normally people apply for EIB through the EIB section of the forum and you get lots of valuable feedback. You, I assume unknowingly, skipped the step and obviously got none. You can also get your armor to Centurion specifications and not apply for the title just because you want it that way doesn’t mean you have to apply for the title. I’d just advise about calling yourself Centurion without having the forum title, it might get people around here upset. As for the armor itself it looks pretty well made. I’m no pro just a guy answering I some questions but it looks like the bolts on the TD would need to be replaced, cod snap added, hovi tips need painting, probably a few other things mentioned in the CRL I’m missing. Some people will probably say your brows too low, your ears are a degree off as well, but I don’t think that’ll hold you back. Most of it is probably cosmetic but not seeing the pics of you with the armor on makes it hard to see how it fits. The link below should take you to the EIB section (if I added it properly). Make sure to check the CRL as stated above and apply for EIB first. Both titles are going to require an application and various pics of you in armor and close ups of other pieces. Good luck and feel free to ask questions someone will help you out. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/19-request-expert-infantryman-status/
  10. Some makers make kits but at that age it might be a bit big. I’ve also seen some of the 48” first order trooper toys broken open and modified to fit a kid but again that’s a young age. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I find the return edge uncomfortable so since the elbow is totally up to you do what you think is comfortable. Not sure if we hit on this before but some people like the retune edge because it helps give an illusion of thickness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The black line is your return edge. That’s the areas on the armor that curves in. The are right they need to be glued end to end with a cover strip. You can cut those arms in half (or whatever size is needed) to get the perfect fit shown with a red line. My suggestion would be save the cutoffs and the longer pieces can be your inside cover strip. It helps save the good cover strip material for the outside. And any cutoffs you make save the plastic. You’ll need it if you ever need to make ABS paste. The AM armor is cast bigger so you’ll probably end up trimming it down to fit. That’s totally normal. Everything needs to fit well so do what you have to in trimming things to fit around you just stick with the natural curve and keep it even (if the piece is round try and keep it round). Hopefully that helps David.
  13. Thanks Joseph, and thanks Brien for stepping up to fill the shoes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Great to see the list has been changed. You really can’t go wrong with AM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Built mine between a 2’x2’ piece of plywood on my bedroom floor and did the glueing on a small set of saw horses in the garage gym. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I told you it was ok to lay off the perfection lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Ok, no, your good where your at you have the 8 cutouts. Leave it white and do a small grey mark after it. Here is my helmet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Looking good David! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Add another vote for the Aker and icomm. I sewed a little pocket and glued it in the chest of my armor. The amp sits on a belt under my armor and the cord runs to the pouch where the icomm sits. Eliminates anything in the helmet, and keeps the icomm from bouncing around. Not sure if any one device is more realistic then the other, I think they are all basically the same. It’s just a matter of what will work best with your set up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. And “welcome” Had to do it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. And I’d like to just add “me too” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
