Introduction from Southern California
revlimiter replied to chrioboy's topic in New Member Introductions
May I humbly suggest an ANH-stunt? Not that I'm biassed or anything. Glad to see your intro thread and I hope you hang around for a long time Vic!!! -
Solid resin E-11, reportedly from the UK about 10 years ago
revlimiter replied to Peter Hamilton's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
At a glance, it's certainly not a vintage Hyperfirm. I don't believe the Hellhounds ever looked like that either. Just as data points. You probably already know that, I just wanted to add my own confirmation. The serial on the gun would be on the top side of the mag receiver. Or possibly above the clearing strip on the bolt. If anything is cast in at all, it would be in those spots. ... heh, you said resin, not rubber. Doh. Ignore the first paragraph. -
R1TK build by TK-12953 for DS-32076 850 Armorworks
revlimiter replied to jsilvius's topic in Rogue One Build Threads
Minus the helmet is a blessing because... well... That 850 bucket isn't accurate at all. I'm surprised it can be approved with the tiny ears and other problems. Printing a Nico bucket will get this whole thing looking way way better. Though mine is still in the build stage, sitting does seem easier and different than with an ANH TK. The cod slides under the belt and up as you sit. The ab section will need to be cut to fit under her chest. Mine is pretty high on me and slides up over my nips as I sit, lol. But the ab and chest attachment and fitment seems pretty secondary for sitting. All the magic is in the cod and belt. Very cool project James! I'm looking forward to seeing it all put together. -
I waited about 11 months for mine and received it in the last 8 months. It was a long time, but it's a really great unit.

Welcome to FISD Xavier!!! Your armor looks amazing and was my privilege to approve.

Will these front cover strips pass
revlimiter replied to Firemantrooper's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
You can use a razor blade to make the corners angled if you wish. It's very easy and pretty self explanatory once you do one. Just put the blade at the angle you want and then press. It'll go through the top and self-stop when it hits the armor below. Just keep your fingers out of the way. I'd do the top corner at the very least. It looks pointy right now. -
This is looking REALLY good! Nice job on the modifications and dressing fixes.

That's fantastic!!! Sounds just right.

I'm so happy / TK-11454 reporting for duty
revlimiter replied to dblcross's topic in Newly Approved Members - Sound Off!
I did my 101st troop last weekend and STILL feel amazing when I get to walk around in my TK's boots. I know all too much how you're feeling right now. And let me give a tiny glimpse into your future - no matter what dumb things life throws at you, there's always the peace and happiness of being inside the armor. It never goes away or gets old. It's super special and I'm so glad you get to be part of it. Cheers to you Terry!!! Happy for ya!!! -
I was thinking something like chipboard. It's like just one layer of cardboard and doesn't have any corrugation. It also gets a little floppy the more you work with it. May be a good simulade? Wall paper is an excellent idea as well. ACE Hardware has lots of that kind of thing in small squares vs huge rolls.

Agreed. Which is why I'm suggesting.... cardboard. Cardboard and some red spray paint, my friend. Cardboard. Not for the final product, but for mock ups and test fits. Heck, don't even have to do red spray, but it might help in the visualization of the final thing. Even red construction paper might work and be sized about right for each panel. Cut and stick to the cardboard. Or tape. Or anything. Never give up!

Very cool! Now that it's public, I hope the troopers can show themselves and share some stories. -
Badge looks so spiffy. Thanks for the early rollout.
