TKModder421's Nico Henderson R1TK helmet build
revlimiter replied to TKModder421's topic in Rogue One Build Threads
That's a thing of beauty. I should attempt to print one... -
In other news, I miss trooping.

Good job James!!! Momentum is the important thing. Keep it up! I've missed one day working out since around mid December of last year. Momentum keeps me going. Morning stretches really help me in getting into the gym too. This getting old stuff is strange.

Those who have bought a scope from Brian @Bulldog44 will understand. Just... wow. What a package.

and lastly A+ props for that Drake TK photoshoop @Morgi

The game reference also has a LOT more space between the bumps than the regularly-used shoulder straps do. The whole white panel has a lot more presence than a re-heated shoulder strap. 5 bumps worth of shoulder strap would be pretty dinky and stubby. 7 bumps worth gets closer to the game dimensions. And I'd be remiss if I didn't note that the 3D print files made by @Eric Ostendorf have a *killer* 5 bump strip included. Nice spacing between the bumps and everything.

https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/113-advanced-tactics/ EIB and Centurion stuff is in here. You obsess over the CRL and photos required, then get someone to take said photos whilst you repeatedly refer to the photo sheets and yell at them for not noticing your shoulder bells weren't quite aligned. But seriously, to me, it's really satisfying having armor that's as accurate as it can possibly be. Not at all a requirement, just a fun thing for those of us wired that way.

Weathering is required for EIB, but not mentioned for basic approval. I would assume you can get approved with it as is. My personal preference is to weather immediately though. The shapes are so basic... it really comes to life with weathering. Looks more like a used trooper pack than a grouping of CG shapes (not an offense intended at yours, but of all HWT packs). Your pack is looking great!!! Got the straps done? That part took me nearly as long to get right as the rest of the pack.

Congratulations @Sly11

I mean, February is shorter. There's no way it can also hold 500 of the things. We need a 500 memes pin.

-edit- wow, that's tiny. It says @Doggydoc @Nairy

I finally got to use this template!

Master @Morgi taught me the ways. Basically the trick is in the chest-to-ab strapping. Make it elastic so that you can get the chest plate to overlap the ab instead of choking you out at the throat and you're most of the way there to sitting. Add some good mobility cuts to the thighs and shins and you're pretty much there.

OMG @Morgi so many memes! I couldn't help it

That's fantastic!!! To my untrained eye that looks really really good. -

I've somehow missed this. Is that bucket inside of another bucket? Very fun costume. -
It might be obvious, but in-bin protection is a must. Would pillowcases be enough for Phasma-chrome? Or would custom made wrap pieces be needed? I know many FOTKs already wrap their armor carefully in padded sleeves each time they suit up and down to keep paint damage at bay. I use travel pillowcases for my OTTK armor. They're much smaller than standard pillowcases and can be had by the dozen on amazon. I don't protect as much now as I did when I started trooping, but a thin pillowcase around each armor piece helps. I tend to use them now more to keep the bin clean from my HWT weathering than for keeping scratches from happening. Scratches are easy to buff out of ABS... As far as protection for the chrome finish itself, it can be waxed like any car paint. Often it IS paint on the armor and not actual chrome plating. Try a synthetic wax that isn't just carnauba. I'm a big fan of Ammo NYC products. Reflex wax + Skin top coat protects for most of a year on my car's paint. Easy to apply and it smells good too. I hope that's at least a little help.
