  1. My butt plate has no return edge, so there's no weak spots to crack. Flat ABS bends very nicely. I haven't had any problems with it at all.
  2. Clearly a sitting tutorial is needed. I can add my own pix to it also @Morgi

I finally got to use this template!
  5. You need to use a third party photo hosting service. The forums don't have much space for uploading.
  6. Master @Morgi taught me the ways. Basically the trick is in the chest-to-ab strapping. Make it elastic so that you can get the chest plate to overlap the ab instead of choking you out at the throat and you're most of the way there to sitting. Add some good mobility cuts to the thighs and shins and you're pretty much there.

OMG @Morgi so many memes! I couldn't help it
  8. That's fantastic!!! To my untrained eye that looks really really good.
  9. I've somehow missed this. Is that bucket inside of another bucket? Very fun costume.
  10. It might be obvious, but in-bin protection is a must. Would pillowcases be enough for Phasma-chrome? Or would custom made wrap pieces be needed? I know many FOTKs already wrap their armor carefully in padded sleeves each time they suit up and down to keep paint damage at bay. I use travel pillowcases for my OTTK armor. They're much smaller than standard pillowcases and can be had by the dozen on amazon. I don't protect as much now as I did when I started trooping, but a thin pillowcase around each armor piece helps. I tend to use them now more to keep the bin clean from my HWT weathering than for keeping scratches from happening. Scratches are easy to buff out of ABS... As far as protection for the chrome finish itself, it can be waxed like any car paint. Often it IS paint on the armor and not actual chrome plating. Try a synthetic wax that isn't just carnauba. I'm a big fan of Ammo NYC products. Reflex wax + Skin top coat protects for most of a year on my car's paint. Easy to apply and it smells good too. I hope that's at least a little help.

omg the batting average one I had a long health care meeting this morning. When it got to be too much, I'd glance at this thread and feel better. I also thought about memes. But mostly I lacked concentration.

These both needed to make their way in here from @MaskedVengeance's Centurion submission.
  14. I keep a few extras in my armor bin for when one goes missing off my shoulder. Not sure if that's more or less lazy than sewing some in...
  15. That looks good!!! The rivets on the drop siphon are particularly tasty. Your button box (upper left) looks a bit large. Not extremely so, it just stuck out to me. What did you use for it? Also what did you use for the radio screen/speaker cover? Is it glossy? I can't quite tell. Glossy may be an issue for approval.
  16. ^ I had the same problem and thought it was just me. https://www.501st.com/members/searchresults.php?searchfield=12345&criteria=tkid If you copy this URL and edit the searchfield number of the URL itself (12345 in my string) to the one you want to use, you can still search someone's TKID. Not sure if that makes sense. You have to basically change the URL manually to search that way.

I built my whole E-11b and didn't read the CRL. At least it's just another counter that I need to print.
