omg the batting average one I had a long health care meeting this morning. When it got to be too much, I'd glance at this thread and feel better. I also thought about memes. But mostly I lacked concentration.

These both needed to make their way in here from @MaskedVengeance's Centurion submission.

Width of white shoulder retainer elastic?
revlimiter replied to TikiTechie's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I keep a few extras in my armor bin for when one goes missing off my shoulder. Not sure if that's more or less lazy than sewing some in... -
That looks good!!! The rivets on the drop siphon are particularly tasty. Your button box (upper left) looks a bit large. Not extremely so, it just stuck out to me. What did you use for it? Also what did you use for the radio screen/speaker cover? Is it glossy? I can't quite tell. Glossy may be an issue for approval.

^ I had the same problem and thought it was just me. https://www.501st.com/members/searchresults.php?searchfield=12345&criteria=tkid If you copy this URL and edit the searchfield number of the URL itself (12345 in my string) to the one you want to use, you can still search someone's TKID. Not sure if that makes sense. You have to basically change the URL manually to search that way.

I built my whole E-11b and didn't read the CRL. At least it's just another counter that I need to print.

revlimiter's R1/Remnant/??? Fiberglass TK Build
revlimiter replied to revlimiter's topic in Remnant Build threads
I haven't been slacking. well... I've kinda been slacking. Instead of working on my armor I decided to build my E-11b. Because you need a blaster for EIB, right?! Back around Christmas, Santa brought me THIS! It's the Sterling airsoft gun that was the E-11b base. Same blaster used in the movie for the hero shots and from which molds were taken. I'd planned to use Bryan's @trooper96 excellent 3D files, but since this metal one dropped in my lap, who was I to say no? And I used a lot of Bryan's 3D files anyway. They're all accurate to the E-11b and are based on this same airsoft gun, so they all fit. I was surprised to see this Siraya resin mix come out translucent. Once cured it's far less clear, but it sure looks cool on the build plate. The funky power cylinder straight from the printer. Everything required extremely minor sanding to get perfectly smooth. Since it's the airsoft gun, I went for the all metal hero blaster rail variant. I printed up the little blocks for rail mounting, but this way just seemed nicer. I also drilled and tapped the resin printed scope for mounting. Pretty sweet that the resin is that resilient. (Siraya 80% Fast ABS-like / 20% Tenacious FTW!) I splurged on the short magazine from evike. It's fully functional and apparently holds about 50 pellets. Instead of destroying my long magazine to cut it down, spending $28 on this seemed like a good choice. And the length matches the R1 screen-used ones. The weather has been terrible here lately. I've been waiting for a day warm enough to paint for ages. I finally just did some small spraying in the garage. Here's everything after about 5 coats of Krylon Fuzion. A last step with the scope getting lenses fitted to it. I love the red lens in my resin Quest Design blaster and thought it would be fun to have in this one as well. annnnd... here's the result of about two week's work. I tried to weather it the same as the promo blaster in the reference thread including the slight bend in the scope rail. . I've got the large eagle scope on this one since that's what I had laying around. This counter came from Blaster Factory and was meant to hold the BlastFX electronics in my Leia Leveller... but I've given up ever receiving that kit. I think it looks lovely on this blaster and am planning to keep it. Hopefully the small eagle counter isn't a CRL requirement. .... literally after typing that I looked at the CRL and discovered the small eagle IS required for Centurion. Guess I'll be printing another counter soon. ugh. Anyways, continuing on... Replica M300 flashlight and a VERY hard to find picatinny rail with the mounting holes outside of the three rails. It's not perfectly accurate since the far edges of the rail don't slope inwards, but it IS metal and works very nicely. The flashlight also works. Correct 1943 scope and R1 power cylinder. The folding stock is back in this shot, but I seem to have not taken one with the stock out and the blaster laying flat... You can even see an image though the scope. It's not very sharp, but you can see through it! I also printed my TK number on the counter. And lastly... a glimpse into my disorder. How does this happen you might ask? Gradually. It happens gradually. Next up I hope to start tearing into some helmets. -

@Nairy has both buckets and might be able to help? He is the new CRL model for the hero after all... If I had a hero bucket, I'd be sending you pix right now. Sorry to not be of more help. -
I do love my shoulder snaps. 0 time. The shoulders and biceps stay connected in my bin.

MV's ANH TK Stunt [ATA] 1st Build Thread for Centurion
revlimiter replied to MaskedVengeance's topic in ANH Build Threads
Holy heck, the paper ear molds are amazing. I never considered doing that. You might think about giving that step its own thread in one of the armor sections. Just brilliant! And the little spacer for the brow trim is also brilliant. My bucket may be getting that soon. -
Bicep & Shoulder Bell Hooks
revlimiter replied to TriumphTrooper8's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
My time to shine This is the madness going on inside my shoulders. EIGHTEEN snaps per shoulder if you count each individually. 18. A garrison buddy called it a snap fetish. Starting at the bottom, the bell-bicep straps are all elastic. You could arguably do this same thing with just the front and back elastic and leave the side piece out, but it just helps pull things back to straight after waiving my arms around. I do that kind of a lot. But the double snaps keep everything in place, the TON of straps keep everything aligned, and if one pops off, there's still two to hold things up. For some reason, my HTW pack makes one of these lower straps pop off once in a while. Nothing bad happens since there's still two in action. Up top, the shoulder-to-bridge connection was a huge pain. It was originally a straight strap with double snaps on both ends, but I kept unsnapping the shoulder bell side while trying to get changed into the armor. Apparently my shoulders are really flexible. Building a new strap with four snaps on the shoulder bell side has solved it completely. Even after 5 hours, I only had one of the three snaps come undone and had no idea until I was suiting down. Overkill means you don't have to worry about things breaking whilst out in public, and that's worth it IMHO. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. -
I discovered this on our garrison calendar after yesterday's troop. It called for a high effort meme.

Jeez, this is beautiful. Dank ferrick. And your post made me instantly start to reflect on the mindset that makes a person want to be a stormtrooper. The psychological strangeness in our brains that creates a burning desire to wear the white armor. It... makes no sense really. They're such humble characters in the SW universe - not heroes and arguably rather ineffective as villains. We TKs are somewhere between battle droids and clones in the narrative. We're often jokes. And it's brilliant getting to be one. The times in my life when my TK's universe overlaps my own and I get to walk around in his armor - they're the best times. Some of my favorite times in my 45 years. My TK isn't the brightest bulb in the fixture. He's kinda goofy, doesn't listen enough, and talks waaaay too much. But he makes people smile and I dearly love sharing his armor a few hours a month. It's not something I can easily explain to most people in my life. It's something only a few of us understand - the joy of being a stormtrooper. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Also, I currently have Dragoncon tickets. I salute you, TK-73692. Can't wait to troop with you someday in the future. I'm overjoyed that you are also finally a stormtrooper.

I just realized how appropriate this would be for this thread. My last troop was a fun one. As for a 2023 update, I have NOT missed a single day of working out this year. I didn't do a resolution or anything, but Jan 1st is a really easy to remember benchmark. Proud to be on about a month long streak so far as of the 20th. On rest days I still stretch and do a couple miles on the stationary bike. Nothing strenuous but better than sitting by the fireplace letting sore muscles stay tense. More stretching has really helped overall.

That's just fantastic. Seriously nice. And everyone here should ignore that lego set number for the next 7 years till my daughter turns 18 and can get into 501st
