  1. I did that and fit seems fine, the ab plate when holding the cod (snug to you-know-what) sits just over the hip and I can see what you mean about better mobility.....and, heard back from KB and he said the edge is not required and the edge is now smalller than before due to making the ab plate longer and he said the same as you about the belt and mobility - thanks
  2. Knee plates and that’s me done mini-posting as I go along...to be continued
  3. Yeah these are wierd
  4. Was curious about the spats so started with those this time
  5. Sorry but it was the same for me, didn’t like it very much to begin with, the helmet in particilar, now...I really like it - go figure I was more concerned about getting the belt to sit properly, I want a new ab plate I checked all the other KB references and they all have that edge...I sent him a PM so I’ll wait to hear back...not to happy bying stuff that needs fixing the minute you get it.....*sigh* EDIT: I was wrong about the ab plate, it’s a new mold. that’t me complaining.....time to start on the other parts
  6. Started trimming: did the yoke and then remembered to start talking pics one can see the yoke a bit on the side the cod, fairly easy to see where to cut. And done...almost, there’s a little lip at the top The back And...then there was the ab plate where’s the lower edge the belt rests on? First I thought KB just got carried away and cut to much in a hurry to get the kit done, would be understandable...but as I looked closer there’s a little lip so now I’m confused...? EDIT: turns out the edge is not required and this is how the new mold is in order to make the ab plate longer- I stand corrected.
  7. Some touching up and minor work to do but almost done with the blasters, they are not perfect but I put them together as trooping-blasters. No electronics in the blaster riffle as of yet but I can take it apart if I would like to ad that in the future
  8. Awesome A tab-and-slot? Did one on my Sandy, figured a solid connection was good as the fieldpack might push and shift things...made a longer tab so it made strapping easier as the side pouches were a nuisance when kitting up
  9. Heard back from KB and the helmet molds needed remaking during the next couple of days....just wish he had told me beforhand - would have saved me from popping a few blod vessels in my head….oh well, as the saying goes...all is well that ends well
  10. Hey Sal If possible I would suggest that you reposition the face plate, It looks a bit squeezed...removing the ears and drill out the rivets and then take it down and back as illustrated by arrows will make it look more like reference pic
  11. When I arrived to the Imperial Factory (work) I decided to change my game-plan and work on the blasters first.....been painting (and sanding) alot of pieces...not finished but started to feel good about myself...but.... .... there’s always more......oh well run out of white paint so I guess that’s a rap for today....(yes I have black paint and pieces that are to be black but choose to ignore that )
  12. Well...I sleep way less than I should, just can’t help myself I have a white balaclava so al I have to do is getting some black sunglasses and no one will be the wiser True true
  13. The box arrived today and had a quick inventory check and the helmet was missing *sigh*....pm:d KB so hopefully it will be here sooner rather than later....so now...time to go to work
  14. I would trim it more like this: oh..and sorry for cutting your thumb And RS suit for reference:
  15. Some do and some don`t...I never did on any of my belts (1.5mm) and they stay put just fine, try bending the belt and see how much of a flex it has would be my advice
  16. Hey Michael - Centurion as the way to go Here`s some teeth reference to help get that ANH-look
  17. Great and now all you need is the armor to strap it to
  18. If you can bend your arms and touch your head I would say you`re good to go
  19. Really great looking armor
  20. my feeling exactly Sure thing Totally bitten by the armor building-bug
  21. Great photos and awesome looking helmet - well done
  22. Looks great Yes it will and you glue 10mm to the armor leaving 15mm the cover any gap - I have a question though, is that your undersuit? If it is I would try and find a tighter one, you don`t wont it to bunch out between armor parts and a tighter one will also help with the fit. And...did you size your shins with the boots on? Do you have alot of return edge left? If so, removing some might help. That`s the reason and the snap won`t be seen at all
