  1. I just had to go and check In keeping with the CRL pic, you are fine Sir () As they are I don´t see the need to change the CRL for basic as it clearly shows a gap but it might be a good idea to emphazise it for L2/L3. Agreed to all and maybe ad the "no paint on posterior snaps/cod rivet to apply at L2?
  2. No need for a new one However when going back in the thread and looking at both your shins it do look like Paul is correct, could be the way you have it between the legs for the photo but might be worth to check
  3. Don´t be to hard on yourself Gordon, the ears are known to be a challenge and as Dan said you are doing well. That said, you still have material left on the ears that would benefit of beeing removed, look back at the outlines Dan made and the ref pic he provided and try emulate that some more and as seen the bottom of the ears should not go over the neck trim but rather end at or more often go under it. Look at it as training of your building skills you mentioned earlier, 501st approval is still well within reach Take a look at some approved EIB and Centurion applications to see some examples on how it can look https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/113-advanced-tactics/
  4. Hey Garry As stated basic is a given You look well on the way for the higher levels as well with some minor tweeking, vocoder could be a bit more defined (not a requriment as such though, just would look better) and the ears screws look as they might be the wrong kind, early Anovos used pan head instead of flat head V screws, they could however be used to replace the incorrect screws for the TD unless you already have pan head
  5. There are better options, look at the first page in this thread to see vetted makers, armor wise Anovos is great but they have trouble to deliver in a timely manner. Good luck
  6. Just under 5h to go and happy new years to you and your family too
  7. You don’t have to but that’s what I would do. At the very least I would make that vertikal cut and see how it looks
  8. Congratulations and welcome to the Legion Trooper
  9. Great news and what a perfect way to start the new year
  10. If it were me I would get a new one and have another go to make it more in keep with the original, you are correct in that vertikal cut
  11. My opinion on the brow and CRL change. For basic - as before Expert Infantry - maybe Centurion - Definetly
  12. I’m sure you’ll get there in the end and hey...looking at it is the next best thing so all good there
  13. I guess we know what your New Year’s resolution should be
  14. Plasti-dip is now dry so cleaned it up and put the head-gear back in. Before After
  15. Haha feel free to use it
  16. Made some decisions today. Decided to plasti-dip the Anovos helmet. Decided to start the clean-up of the KB helmet between layers and started by cutting down the excess from the mold. Already cut most of it in this pic. Decided after cutting it down to keep the grove of the mold as battle damage, Just going to sand and paint. Decided to have some fun. Also decided to make a new CRL for a new Stormtrooper variant - aka the Duck-Trooper.
  17. Welcome to FISD Congratulations on getting a great kit and rest assured, everyone here will help you in every way they can
  18. Hey A.J It’s not mandatory at all, many do it because it’s screen accurate but how you choose to fasten them is totally up to you as long as it look the part from the outside, the sliding part is adressed in most builds by using a dab of glue What do I think? - have at it
  19. I somehow misses this, sorry about that and mine are 20mm Don’t have a ”with armor” but waist is 39”
  20. That depends on the type of glue used, E6000 can be carefully taken apart. As for reshaping, everything as possible to trim to fit your size and the shims should be added to the kidney plate. If other glue is used then it will be harder to separate the pieces but you might get lucky...if the pieces are ”big enough” then you could cut the coverstrip right of and set a new one. Pics would help to give you more detailed advise
  21. Getting a press also gives you the opportunity to help fellow Troopers with their snapping or even pre-make snap plates (webbing/ abs) and sell some sets
  22. Glue some scrap on the inside, abs paste from the outside and your good
  23. Not to worry, you have plenty material left on both ears to get them tha way you want. Infact, you have alot of excess left
