  1. Having return edges isn`t mandatory and that goes for the entire armor, however they contribute of giving the armor a sence of thickness and if one plan on using screen accurate strapping they are almost a must in the torso, for higher levels of accuracy - Centurion - there can't be any on the wrist-ends of forearms...so it's about personal preference. My advise if you cut the neck line is to not make a new return unless you really want to, no one will see it anyways...and as Christine said, a bath and strapping will aid the butt-issue and adding on the thighs would make it less apparent...and one final note: check Christine aka Crickets thread on how she did her RS-kit - it's a great read
  2. Go with the reference they don't have to be perfect but they should be smaller than the "mounting plate".
  3. Way to start the New Year Happy holidays
  4. The build is starting to come to an end and I'm already starting to miss this controlled chaos Final coverstrip is curing, ammo-knee and thigh elastic waiting to be installerade and then it's some trimming for comfort and TD to wrap this up - Happy New Year everyone
  5. I think you are right, a bit more work but will look much better
  6. Bridges look great although I would remove the return in the front of first bump for screen accuracy And I would put a new snap higher up, making the elastic shorther to help the shoulders to better stay in place, you could also tape it up like it is and see how it works before you make any changes
  7. Hey I would remove all of the flashing (left-over plastic) at the bottom and you could open up the teeth some more, eyes look great - best of luck with your build
  8. Nice don't go any thicker with the outline, they are supposed to be thin
  9. I´m sure you did fine, a few mm can make alot of difference and the use of 3/4" instead of 1", if you used Tony`s build for reference that should mean all is good (this is mine though)
  10. oops...I ment in my neck of the woods, there are some places with good winter of course...it must have been the Sith in me
  11. Expected to have done more but apparently I didn`t So...arms are done And the Shins are sized up, next up is the hook-closure before they are sealed...and the sniper-knee is rough trimmed Hopefully they dont walk away on me because that`s it for today
  12. Yeez.....here in Sweden the winter is absent so far, more like prolonged fall altough I wouldn`t want it to be THAT Cold I think you can enjoy the good life of Christmas with a clear conscience, my bet is that you put the snaps slightly closer together or didn`t trim the edges of the plastic belt as much thus making the drop boxes further apart steering clear of the snaps....or both
  13. Screen accurate is 1", using that instead should sort it
  14. I would loop the elastic around, tape it to the dropbox to see exactly were it interfere with the snap and if it in fact is dead-centre I would follow your wifes suggestion, if not then I would cut a notch out and as long as the elastic is connected it will be fine, you will glue it to the belt anyways....and...is that 1"? The reason I ask is because it looks smaller, hence less material to work with.
