  1. I use the lo-fi when I'm out with my psp. You can barely see the lo-fi link at the bottom of every fisd page. You can see it if you highlight it.

    Hit and run

Good news, bad news. Bad news is a deductable. Good news is no fault on my part, which means that it will not go against my record, and my premium will not go up. Thanks for the well wishes.

    Hit and run

I'm usually a patient person, but I must say that I've been chompin at the bit over our insurance policy. We re-read our policy when we got home, but it's vague. I guess we'll find out more tomorrow.
  4. You might try using the lo-fi version of this website http://forum.whitearmor.net/lofiversion/index.php and see if it speeds you up any.
  5. I shot you the cog file via PM. I couldn't find that thread either.

    Hit and run

I might mention that the hit and run ddisturbs me more than a cop having a bad day. My record was spotless. No wrecks and I've never been caught speeding. I have full coverage, but I'm affraid it's going to cost me.

    Hit and run

I got rear ended at a stop sign after getting off the freeway. Had my wife and two kids in the car. We got shoved into another car with a mom and two infant children. The guy that hit me took off. We were all OK untill the state trooper arived. I can't beleive what a Jerk he was. He laid into us for not getting the H&R drivers lscense plate number. We were both fixing to get tickets utill a city cop showed up and assumed jurisdiction. The state trooper was more concerned about losing a hit and run than he was about the well being of the children. He even eluded to insurance fraud. What an embarassing kreep. I couldn't help myself: I mouthed off at him for his behavior. In 25 years of driving, this is the first accident that I have been in. I have no idea how it might play out. The city police wrote it up as a hit and run and refused to write us tickets to the chagrin of the state trooper. I'm sure glad that city cop showed up; Finally a cop when you need one. Thank you all who read my rant. If any of you have been in this situation before, please chime in.
  8. Just wanted you guys to know that I'm at work on it. Christian (9323) is doing his as well and we plan to cooperate on this. We are painting this weekend.
  9. Went to see it with my son. He has a new hero in one of my old ones. We can never go home, but it was still a nice visit.
  10. You can use white epoxy or you can fill it with melted ABS. If you take a little abs glue and mix with ABS shavings, you end up with a past. I think one of our troopes already posted about this, so pardon me for not quoting the post or author.
  11. The cap on the ear pops off. The rest of the ear piece screws off.
  12. I've heard about the CaBoot smell before. Is it that bad? And what do they smell like?
  13. PM sent? Is it a big secret? Unless it's of a personal nature, then post it up for all to see. I use the Dark Trooper boots off ebay. They're like the Mark Cheng boots. All leather, but need to be pollished if you want that glossy look. They feel great and I've been trooping in mine going on three years. Lots of parades. Here's the auction. Looks like profits go to charity now. Then again, those orphans could be making those boots. --------
  14. That is a good find. I've never written my own circuit board. That's beyond my meager skills. BTW, here is the link if you want to get one of these boards: http://www.electronickits.com/kit/complete/surv/ck211.htm
  15. I've built a few different types. The stattic burst isn't that important to me, so my favorite system is the analog amp with analog speakers. I was turned on to this amp by a local friend: Two 8hom speakers would rock with this amp. It's smaller than the radio shack board, which I can not discuss any more. Once I play with this amp, tweak it a little and decipher the appropriate resistor, I will disclose the full mod right here on FISD.
  16. I've lost friends. And don't say real friends don't leave for that sort of thing. I lost one friend that was like a brother. Mostely because his wife was a stupid crunt that didn't know how to have any fun. She thought I was out of my mind for dressing up like a "space man". I also lost a couple of soldier buds because they didn't like the psuedo military aspect.
  17. We can not post links to armor for sale. Nor can we post want do buy threads. My best advice is to read every thread regaurding armor. Just about every thing you need to know has been covered.
  18. I'm taking my time to tear down and build up. I want it to be able to break down with rare earth magnets, and quickly snap back together. I'm building a sound system That is completely self contained in the front mouth saction. I also want a removable dome with wire and kevlar look.
  19. Way to go foggy. I hope I'm trooping for another decade.
  20. Yes, you're right Mike and thank you for making that clear. I really appreciate the back up and support I got from various people in my garrison and detachment.
  21. OK. I don't feel so old in this hobby now.
  22. I can't really say to much as this was privilaged information. Even though my sound unit was one in question, I was still FISD staff at the time and privy to the chain of emails and angry words. I just do this for fun, but apparently others do it to feed their kids.
  23. Wait a minute; this is just another tell your age thread When star wars (there was no new hope) came out I was ten, my brother was fourteen. We went to a walk in theater, which was a big thing at the time. The sound was in sterio. I felt John williams clear down in my stomach; I almost dropped my bottle of coke (which was glass by the way).
  24. Sory folks, but using the radio shack voice amp caused some discord in my garrison. I went before a "recasting inquiry" and was not found at fault, however the seeds have been planted. I can argue many points as to how my sound system differs from other fan built models, but it's not worth arguing over, and it's certainly not worth the drama. All I can say about my sound system is it ROCKS and looks SWEET in a bucket. I wish you all had one to troop in, or the know how to build one.
  25. I'm 41, but look 51. My wife is a year younger, but she looks 20. People think I'm her dad. I'm constanty telling people that Owen is my son and not my grandson. If they really act shocked, I tell them that mom is 17.
