The price was right, so I took a chance and bought one. This is comparable to any other styrene kit that I have built or worked on, as far as craftsmanship and durability goes. One of the sharpest pulls I've ever seen. I've studied the ATA next to several TE and TE2 helmets and the new ATA has more detail. I intended to crown mt TE2 kit with this gem, but now I'm anxious to see what ATA armor looks like. Here is the only pic I have right now . I'll post more pics as the build progresses. Taped together. A good fit.

Like our DL, the first one I saw in armor was myself. The first troopers I laid eyes on were both sandy.

I agree that this detachment is the team. I've learned a lot on this board and in turn I share what knowledge I have. I agree with you. However, I no longer move armor for people. I help with aspects of armor building, either by pm or phone, which is something I would do were I not the armor chief. Which brings me to this question; Why pay me for a job that I would otherwise do for free?

I have yet to try this mod. I might do this so I can offer some more input.

Thanks man. It's a labor of love. A buddy told me that even if I was able to get it screen accurate, it would still be cheaper in work and supplies to get a quality fan made; He's right, I think. Odd thing about this helmet ; except for the ear cap, he ears fit perfectly inside that of a TE helmet ear.

Post a pic Depending on the brand, You may re-heat the decal with a clothes iron, and peel it off. Others are screened on, in which case they can be painted/colored black.

Don't worry, I read it wrong too I'm sure it's a typo that will get fixed.

I can't think of anything else to do to fix this bucket. I have three more MR's to experiment on. I could vac some new ears, or use some of my spares, but I wanted an 'out of the box' easy fix.

Good eye guys. It is indeed a modded Master Replica. Was hoping to throw off more folks with these extreme mods, but nevertheless, thank you for playing:) I stuck it in the oven till it was soft enough to reshape. I used bondo for the mouth seam and also used bondo to reshape the teardrops. I also reshaped the ears and ear cap. ----------- ---------------

Thank you terrell. I knew it was thick stuff. I was also impressed with the quallity of plastic; Believe it or not, not all hips is the same.

As far as quallity, cap is nice armor. I'm building a set right now. The armor is pulled from 1.0 hips and the bucket is .09. Nice pulls from what I've seen.

This will get messy. Always does. Same old questions. Same old responses. DarthAlias, I think, Had you spent more time reading past threads, you might have opted out of asking the question. This very subject has split garrisons and has been fule for bickering since this det. started. And the irony is that you didn't even know it was a recast. My advice to you is this; have fun in this hobby, keep your head down untill you've had a few troops under your belt, and when someone asks you what kind of helmet you have, shrug and say "I got it off ebay".

My Pops is 85. We've had some close calls the last few years; stroke, heart attack, cancer. Every Christmas for the last five years we thought his "last". We just never know. Hang in there.

I'm a bit confused here Tony; If it is in fact a SCREEN USED C-38, doesn't that make you the original recastor? Or do you have to cast it, sell it, and the other guy buys it, makes a mould and is the recastor?? I couldbe wrong, but that looks like the one in the scene where Han is running down the cooridor in ANH. I also heard it first hand from whom I can not say, that it may hve been used in ROTJ as well. If you ever decide to quit and never come back, I sure would like to buy the moulds from you.
