  1. Your armour does look amazing, love the painting on your lid, oh and the “mouse boot” or trunk as you say it , with added stormtrooper... perfect and you certainly put a smile on the congratulation at your church, and for me, that’s what life us about, making people smile and be happy.... you Sir, have my upmost respect Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That’s looking great Matt, love the new “hoodie” look stormtrooper You have done a lovely job on the teeth and eyes, there is perhaps a little bit more that could come off the right eye at the top, so that it matches how you have done it on the left eye. Wow... looking great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hi Tony , Pictures as requested Outside ... just in case you need them Inside I used the same rivets as used on the belt and holster If you need any more pictures let me know Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. That’s looking great Matt, love the DLT19 . Once the torso undone it all comes together Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hi, I don’t remember any numbers on my packaging when I got my RS kit, best thing is to look at RS build threads on here , that will give you a good idea, also start your own build thread in the ANH or ESB section, indeed those are the parts of the forum you need to search for the build threads Regarding the pop rivet, they are pushed in from the outside and the washer goes on the inside, you can see what I mean in the pic below of a drop box , but you can’t see the washer on the inside .. ------------- Also be careful with the placement of your rivets as you dot want them to be in the way of your ear screws. Have you cut your teeth and eyes out yet? You need to do that before you rivet the lid together... As I said, start a build thread Good luck Stephen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for your consideration Sir, I know you are all very busy people and I appreciate you taking the time to review my application. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi Christine, thanks for your advice, I actually spent this afternoon seeing them all by hand to stop them from fraying.... I was doing that when you posted in my build thread earlier..... so my elastic is no longer fraying .... oh if I were to take a lighter to them I’d likely burn a hole in the armour .... I’m bad enough with s heat gun .... lol Didn’t realise the heat sealing iron would do it.... will have a try on some spare elastic and then .... well might as well do that as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks for your kind words and looking in on my build thread, I agree re the drop boxes.... I need to glue them.... keep forgetting..... it’s my age .... lol The the ab buttons, just looked at them and yeah .... they seem a tad big, the thing is I replaced the previous ones because they were too small ..... perhaps it will be third time lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks re the interior of my lid, I do think I need to do something better than the foam padding, but it works for me, and my granddad always said “if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it” The the lenses, Not too sure about low light, they are fine in my garage with the lights on, which I guess is the same as being inside any other reasonably lit building Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I can see the CRL.... biker scout must have own R1 .... only joking .... lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks Christine, it was your build thread that made me think, perhaps I can do this, and I’m so glad I tried.... mine you both you and Frank and the guys on the UKG gave me so many tips on how to do things, and encouragement when I hit the inevitable brick walls, I really couldn’t have done it without you all.... thanks Haha... riding without a crash helmet on is illegal over here, might try it in the garden when it’s warmer In the mean time.... my impression of a biker scout..... I don’t think it will get clearance Have applied for EIB... so fingers crossed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Hi Matt, No unfortunately I didn’t, been thinking of taking them off and doing it, but they are stuck very hard so may leave it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Wow, that looks fantastic. The RS lids are wonky but I must admit that’s what I love about them. Re the lenses ... I got some replacement ones from the Imperial Supply Depot here in the U.K. They are great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Your armour looks fantastic mate. Nice work Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I’ve not a clue when I will do an induction.... I want ti get EIB and Centurion like Clive and Mark advised you before I get branded with the UKG logo .... so that first, currently reading all the rules re trooping I love the advice to questions from the public: Where did you get your armour from? “Standard Empire issue” Can I borrow / have a close look at your blaster? “It is against Empire regulations” Loads to learn Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Congratulations Daniel , your armour looks totally perfect, spot on . Centurion next Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Well I got so excited about getting cleared and receiving my TK ID.... I forgot to report for duty..... hope Lord Vader didn’t notice. I still can’t believe my armour cleared, it’s an amazing feeling having spent an absolute age building it..... I really didn’t think I could do it.... and there were times when I thought.... you have messed that up.... especially when using the heat gun... doh... It really is a credit to the armourers on the UKG and the people on here, Christine (cricket) Frank ( fragarock )and Paul (TrooperMaster) and the rest of you for giving me much needed help, advice and support... and when I was really low or felt I had hit a brick wall you all encouraged me to continue.... the spirit of “troopers helping troopers” existed throughout my build.... I can never thank you all enough..... you are all amazing people and troopers and a credit to the 501st So what’s next.... I have currently submitted my kit for EIB and will hopefully achieve Centurion in the future, but let’s get EIB first.. Then I need to do an induction troop with the UKG, get branded and then troop some more.... I’m also looking at what to do next.... I need something to build, perhaps an E-11 all of my own and then possibly ESB.... I believe the armour is ok to swap between ANH and ESB, but I would needs new lid, belt, holster, blaster and gloves...... All that should keep me going for awhile As I said thanks to all of you, I could not have done this without your help Stephen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks Clive, I can survive by using a dust pan and brush... lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I must admit I do need to find something else to build ..... you have got me thinking ...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I’m not that technical too, I sometimes find pictures help. This is how I fitted my split rivets, your elastic will be longer than mine, I also doubled mine up for added strength. I needed a 3” long elastic, so I cut 6” so I could double it up. You will also need something to punch a hole in the elastic for the rivets to go through Rivet placed through hole and elastic Outside Inside Washer added Prise the rivet apart with a flat head screwdriver, resting the head of the river on a piece of wood for support, or something similar Use pliers / hammer to gently tap the prongs of the rivet flat... I tapped the pliers with the hammer Job done Outside Inside Obviously because your elastic will be longer the sides will not butt up against each other Hope this helps Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Nice progress trooper. The painting on your lid is amazing and you did a much better job than me on the hovi tips. The edges should be painted white not silver and the inside should also be white These are mine for reference, forgive the mesh .... Keep up the good work Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. You are welcome mate. Not long at all mate. I’ve been reading your E-11 build thread, it’s amazing, it’s something I am sort of thinking about but I don’t have a respirator and am bothered about all that resin dust .... plus she who must be obeyed would kill me in a way that would make Lord Vader proud if I was to use the dyson in the garage..... I value my life and want to live long enough to troop .... lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
