  1. I built mine in the back of my garage on a 4’x2’ table which to be fair was way too big, could easily have don’t it on half the size [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. A few years ago a guy I know bought a set of Rossi race leathers from China, the price was £150, to buy them from a Dainese shop would cost £1,300 to £1,500 Needless to say.... we in the biking community warned him before the purchase... he thought hay... might as well.... what he got was unbelievable.... in a bad way... If the deal is too good to be true.... it isn’t a deal... it’s a scam Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Good luck. Your armour looks fantastic and symmetrical in a really nice way. I love it [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Congratulations and welcome to EIB... centurion next [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This is how i did mine.. hope it helps (The scoop I took out of the left forearm was purely to aid movement... some do that, others don’t) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks for the instructions Christine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Like the mannequin Christine, what a good idea Build is looking great, those magnetic closures are a pain to build but absolutely fantastic to use, I’m so glad I copied your idea Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Congratulations Luc, nice armour you have, a few tweaks and we will see you at Centurion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Welcome to the forum mate, and good luck with your armour, whatever you do. I’m an armour building novice, having only recently completed my TK armour. I can confirm first hand that the guys n gals on here are both very knowledgable and very helpful regarding all aspects of building a costume. I can also confirm and this is from someone with no prior knowledge of ABS that the repairs are indeed very simple to undertake, heck even I can do it, so it must be simple . Welcome, good luck in your quest for armour and ask any questions, someone will have the answer, oh and remember..... the only daft question is a question that’s not asked..... we have all been there not knowing what we were doing at some point .... 14. And then Centurion:) I think my next project may well be a blaster, my current one came with my kit .... I fancy doing one with sound and light.... but we can’t troop with them in the U.K... don’t know why Good luck with EIB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  17. Hi Rui, You have a beautiful set of RS armour there. I would suggest that you drop the right forearm a bit, maybe 0.5 to 1cm so that the gap at the elbow is the same as the left It would also make the cuff of the right glove match the one on the left I’m being really picky, but the elastic on the butt plate on the right hand side may need to be tightened slightly so as to pull the right edge closer to the kidney armour. Good luck with your application, your armour fits you well [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Congratulations on your approval Andrew, you have a beautiful set of RS armour which fits you perfectly. As the guys say, EIB next and then Centurion
  19. Hi Alan, welcome to FISD, when I started down this process I was totally unsure where to start, having had a good trawl through the internet I thankfully found FISD, and reading the threads Chris has shown you pointed me in the right direction.... heck..... the company that was originally on the top of my list was on the list of "who to avoid".... if it hadn't been for FISD, I would have made a very expensive mistake. I also looked at the CRLs on the 501st, that gave me an idea of what was required..... Full list if CRLs http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRLbyname and for TK ANH stunt http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_hero once I had decided who to purchase my armour from, I looked up and studied build threads both on here and on my local garrison, I also looked up EIB and centurion applications from members who had the sameness armour I wa abetting, this showed me what could be achieved... finally.... and I thought about this a lot, the hardest decision for me was do I get a commission or build the armour myself...... I rally lacked the confidence to start trimming, sizing and gluing armour, but a full commission was outside my budget..... the guys n gals on here were full of encouragement, so I dove in at the deep end and went down the self build route...... I'm so pleased I did that, the help and encouragement I got from FISD was worth its weight in gold, as was the one to one support I got from the armourer assigned to me at my local garrison (the UKG) yes i I made the odd mistake, had the odd faux pas with the heat gun, however, the experience of people on here and my local armourer made sure that my mistakes could be rectified, heck the person who has never made a mistake has never done anything... also so the camaraderie on here is amazing and helped me achieve my dream..... to own a set of TK armour.... so so good luck with your search and your build stephen
  20. Congratulations Julian .... Centurion next [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  22. Shins are looking good Christine [emoji3] Don’t you just love kids..... lol.... they are only messing with you.... if they were real rebel scum you wouldn’t have any armour left .... Enjoy them, they grow up far far too quickly.... but then you get grandchildren.... and it all starts again.... the good news.... you can hand them back to mum and dad..... that’s priceless [emoji3] Grandchildren are priceless Btw.... my abs paste repairs to my butt cracks seem to have worked..... will know more when I troop..... hopefully my crack will remain closed ..... [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
