  1. Good thing I used BOLTS on my AM! ------------
  2. Forget about the 2 top ear holes. You only need to worry about the center top. The other two will be done after the ear is fit. Fit the center one so the face lines up right. I started with the side where the smiles lined up. The other side was distorted or something so the dimples wouldn't work. Then squeeze the cheeks together and make a new screw hole to hold them. This is to reduce the gap to the ears. Then trim the ears but not to a final trim. Just so it's close. The key is to then drill the very bottom ear hole and INSTALL THE SCREW EACH TIME you fit and trim the ear. Just laying it on there is a lot different than actually installing the screw. Tightening the screw moves the ear slightly. It's a pain and you'll do it many times but the effort is worth it. Mine have no gap. Once you're happy, insall the last two (upper) ear screws with the ear secured at the bottom. These screws will not distort the position since the bottom one is holding everything.
  3. Lighter fluid on a paper towel will clean off those stubborn marks and hasn't damaged by AM kit at all.
  4. I found this one, but still can't find the thread which talked about pulling the cheeks in to reduce the ear gap. That was the key! Inkedfritos686 ANH AM 2.0 build and journey https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/37994-Inkedfritos686-ANH-AM-2%2E0-build-and-journey&share_tid=37994&share_fid=44557&share_type=t
  5. Do the top to back first! There are a couple of recent threads of AM builds with these question and answers. I matched up the dimples on one side and the other was really lopsided so I had to line it up then drill. Don't be like me as seen below! The cheeks are the big part since they cause the gap. They are fixable if you follow the advice I gave. Sorry but it was last month and I'm on my phone right now and don't have a link. It was someone else's AM build.
  6. If you get the money, here's a quick option that is pretty nice. Efx Collectibles Star Wars Stormtrooper Prop Replica Helmet by EFX https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014VE3ST0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_v.cVxbK7Z8SA7 There is also the terrible Rubies option.
  7. I had the same question when I did mine. You trim all of that vertical edge off. Once you do that it should like up to be flat with the outlines in the ab plate
  8. Inventory slots are another frustrating thing. I love exploring games like Skyrim and Fallout but this mining game without actually DOING anything is getting old quick. (As I read this after I posted it, it sounds like I'm talking about FARMVILLE!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. When does this game get good? I feel like all I do is walk around collecting minerals to keep my ship and life support running so I can walk around and collect more minerals and so on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I bought #8 sheet metal screws and fender washers and then secured everything from the back side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That's exactly what it did on mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. I use this belt; it's hard and won't collapse when you wrap thigh straps around it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KKC860O/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_cUFRxbM5H0EXV Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. It's available at both Lowe's and Home Depot as well as Amazon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I just used a flat black and the gray is just primer. I forget the brand but just look for the ones that are compatible with plastic at Home Depot or Lowe's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I found this at Gander Mountain. It's for a "waterfowl gun" which is longer than a regular shotgun. I carried my gun right into the store and tried it and it works great. It fits the really long Hyperfirm DLT-19. Unfortunately, it only comes in camo and not black. I've search Amazon and Google Shopping, but they all seem to be camo colored. There's a guy in my garrison who makes them for $75 and will even customize it for you (PM me if interested). I'm not sure I'm ready to spend that kind of money just yet; I'll probably try the homemade bag first.
  17. BTW everyone; I got approved this weekend!!! I just applied for my TK number, so the hard part is over.
  18. Here's my grocery list for the pack. I hope it helps. ------------------- Pauldron Others have said this is the definitive place to get them. I don’t have experience with others, but this one is fantastic quality. $90. Jay Parsons jparsons401@frontier.com Gun is a Hyperfirm. The ONLY way to go. I ordered a DLT-19 and an E-11 at the same time. $400 https://www.facebook.com/HFx-Productions-1669859386576227/ Tony’s build http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30034-hwt-backpack-build-part-1/ Oil pan: (select any year and model, then search on 616) http://www.bavauto.com/shop.asp I like the more industrial look of this one on the sides. Others have opted for skinnier ones. MP40 pouches. You’ll need to dye them black. I used fabric spray paint from Michaels, but others have used the liquid dye. You need both the pouches, so order a pair where one of them has the little pocket on the lower right side http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR3.TRC2.A0.H0.Xmp40+pouch.TRS0&_nkw=mp40+pouch&_sacat=0 Popit! Stackit! Plastic boxes https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IOSF14A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I’m pretty sure this is the ABS I used (0.028” thick) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XR9WC8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (I used this for the face on some of the boxes on the top) Radio was a box LIKE this for a couple of bucks at Michaels https://www.amazon.com/Darice-2-Inch-11-Inch-Storage-Covering/dp/B0055CVAIO/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1470674002&sr=1-1&keywords=cardboard+photo+box Armor All bottle (the 20 or 25 count size- not the 50) like this (just an example of the size): https://www.amazon.com/Armor-All-10945-Ultra-Shine/dp/B000QSBFLY/ref=sr_1_8?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1470673593&sr=1-8&keywords=armor+all+wipes I used some of the 0.028 ABS sheet to make the black piece down it For the vents, I used this channel, and a sheet of black textured ABS. I wanted the vents to be more 3 dimensional than just laying them on top of each other https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000WS8Q6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 For the frames around the radio and box face, I just used a sticky tile linoleum type of tile from Lowes. The cup was from 5 below (buy a $1 one, not the $5) Pipe was a 24” pipe (pre-cut) from Home Depot and couples cut in half. Allan had an extra shoulder strap that I used for the white thing on the pipe. 2 milk jug caps 1 soda cap (for the top of the black/gray cup) I used some 1” wide webbing and clips from Strapworks, but others have bought backpack straps of various kinds. http://www.strapworks.com/Side_Release_Buckles_p/srbda.htm Antenna https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008ZZV72M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (there are several options, but just watch the height; you don’t want a really long one) I bought this one too, but like the other one better. Just do a search on “fake antenna” on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AWYBD5A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Black little squares are like this, although I thought they were ½” not ¾”. Home Depot has them http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-3-4-in-Self-Adhesive-Vinyl-Surface-Bumpers-12-per-Pack-49565/203661091 I attached everything with #8 sheet metal screws and #8 fender washers (to help prevent pulling out of the plastic)
  19. I got your PM and will send links for the pieces as requested. The longest lead time item is the MP40 pouches. Order them on eBay and then get some fabric spray from Micheals. UKswrath is usually the gold standard that people follow. He has some of the links too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Wow! Those are awesome. Definitely some incentive. I wish there was a build thread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I have an XXL long head and the AM 2.0 fits after I squeeze my head in. I can even wear my glasses. The problem was that the opening was too small so I had to enlarge it. It's still tight to get on, but once on is fairly roomy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I think you show of stick with the bunny slippers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. I didn't think of foam. That would make it a lot easier to move. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I saw some on the internet but the helmets all looked like paper mache and homemade. We need PLASTIC! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
