  1. FYI, if you wanted to use your method, you can buy sheets of ABS from Amazon in various thicknesses. I've used back and am pretty sure they have white although color wouldn't matter since they would not be seen
  2. I've thought about making pack mods as well; there are a lot of cool pieces I've seen. I can't imagine it matters to kids at a library troop or charity walk.
  3. I believe the ends of the 24" tube should be white.
  4. I went with a Hyperfirm DLT which I love. I'd like to get one of their T-21's but they are over twice the price as the DLT and are heavier. Maybe I'll build one, but the Hyperfirm's are pretty nice...
  5. Separate the rivet ends with pliers after insertion as much as possible, then use a punch or drift pin on its side between the ends then small numerous hammer strokes to flatten.
  6. I have the same twisting problem on both shins. I ended up putting a thicker chunk of foam below each need when I get dressed. It seems to help although not a graceful solution.
  7. Tired of my pack getting excessively dusty in the garage, I made this. It even has a black liner. I'd never done that before.
  8. Harbor Freight has cheap clamps as well as Amazon. Set of 18 Spring Clamps with Movable Teeth, Assorted Sizes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017S3C2JI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ZYqayb1NZ8X1E
  9. When I built mine, I took people's advice about cutting only HALF of what oh think you need to cut. I was amazed at how much less I needed to trim than I originally thought. You can always trim more, but you can't put any back. Better to work your way into the fit that do it all at once.
  10. Duratrax Body Scissors and Reamer 3-Piece Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007KN0RQM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_tw-.xbNKG5GNM
  11. I'm 6'0" and 210. I got the AM 2.0 and it fits great. I didn't need to trim the length at all and the sides match up perfectly with no shims. I worked on my HWT pack while I was waiting for my kit to arrive.
  12. What are the sizes of the lenses? Will they fit exactly in the Hyperfirm?
  13. I've heard of people trying to get rid of it, but as soon as I hear "heat iron" I say no thanks. Not until I need to.
  14. Yeah, the two triangles. I heard it's an AM thing.
  15. I left mine the way it was and got basic approval. All the body pieces fit so well and I didn't want to mess anything up.
  16. I use lighter fluid too. No one ever believes me that it works great. Glad to see there is someone else out there!
  17. I did ANH stunt. I followed someone else and he didn't trim either. I zoomed in on a couple of my pictures.
  18. I didn't do ANY trimming on the hand plates... I wonder if my kit is different. I received it in May.
  19. These are available for pre-order on Amazon now for October 16 delivery. Star Wars The Black Series Imperial Stormtrooper Electronic Voice Changer Helmet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BQ9S96A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_SWxYxb6NAQYX0
  20. You can do better on the gap if you want. I did.
  21. My fans are loud too. I've added Ukwrath's heart Ng assist and love it. I don't know how people go without it.
  22. Those cheeks look good. Hopefully it will help you get small ear gaps.
  23. I thought about doing the same thing and quickly realized they are nothing alike. If I convert to TD later, I'll need to build a new pack.
