It's not an evolution, it's a whole new helmet. The one you have is a Don Post recast. The shoulders b4lrog has are not the only ones MFX has moulds for - I had different shoulders on my MFX (also different upper arms and thighs). Check my old Elite/EIB thread to see some pics of that. As I said MFX ain't MFX these days. b4lrog's rig is glossy HIPS, latest news are he's pulling in thinner uncapped ABS nowadays.

if you have an old MFX lid then you might have one of his earlier versions. MFX ain't MFX these days, with all the moulds he has

Finally managed to get some new pics taken at the children's birthday troop yesterday. They show how the armour looks now that the chest and backplate are connected to the abdomen and kidney. sits even better now I'd say (had to take the detonator off cause them kids wouldn't leave it alone)

I was going to try that exactly I have a balaclava for troops, didn't put it on for the pics though... my hair is not that much of a problem actually... as you can see on the pics

nice one Peter! Thanks for that! I'm sure R2 is good at making coffee - I can't tell for sure though, as I don't drink any coffee The whole armour is non acrylic capped abs, yep. Looks pretty good though, I like it - and it flexes quite nicely yet feels very firm at 1,5mm only... quality stuff!

I'm actually planning to add the chest and back connection to the abdomen and kidney plate, but I had to get this done and approved for the troop, so it's not entirely done-done yet Also looking into ways to stop the kneeplate from getting under my thigh... Oh and I'm not going to add any mesh behind the teeth - I rather stay accurate Thanks for the praise guys

Hey guys - I will have to re-apply very soon (upgrading to TM, about done with the build), should I just post new pics in my old Elite/EIB thread or start a new one?

I'd trim out the eyes more, the ESB helmets had them trimmed quite extensively! And move up the belt boxes, there shouldn't be any space/no visible straps between the belt and the boxes. Pics of the blaster would be needed, too - I think. But it's a good looking rig there, so congrats on that already

I guess it depends largely on what kind of event it is. Promotional events (think Lego, or something for Lucasfilm like Clone Wars, or a new Star Wars game) you might end up getting freebies, or discounts, or some promo goods. Children's birthdays, charity events, small town festivals... well, I'd say make sure you won't at least dehydrate and die That's from my experience. Free entry has been a given at most events, especially if we got invited in the first place - of course you can't expect to show up in plastic at a big Sci-Fi con uninvited and demand free entry just because you're so damn cool
