  1. got the flower rivets today. They're definitely too small, but else they look damn close. Guess there must have been a larger version...
  2. well, it's not your fault I think tkrestonva has swapped them out with someone else's parts, looked ten times better. Here are some more recommendations, if you don't mind: - Your belt is sitting a little low, it should sit just below the "ridged button" bit on the abdomen. - I think you - as most AM wearers - have gotten the shins on the wrong legs. The one you have on your left leg with the kneeplate is actually the right shin, and vice versa. Looks a bit dodgy there. Try them on the other way, it should feel a lot better, too! Apparently the finishing strip on the back was put on the wrong side, giving the impression you're supposed to wear them like that...
  3. I think that chest is way too big for you. In fact, I think it's way too big for most TKs out there, and it looks so off compared to the real deal... oh well!
  4. green plastic. The ROTJ helmets had bubble lenses, ANH had flat lenses for the so-called "stunt" helmets and also bubble lenses on the hero lids (as worn by Luke and Han). They were all green.
  5. the armor is mainly cast from a TE suit, not TE2. There were several helmet generations, so that's hard to say - Scootch is the person you seek if you're interested in CAP stuff these days though
  6. if you look at the pic, the flower rivets should be larger than the standard ones. Anyway, we'll find out soon enough, I simply ordered some of those flowery rivets from that website. Even if they're no good, $5 won't kill me on the quest for uber-accuracy
  7. Happy birthday Pete! Live long and prosper :D
  8. I think the heads might be a little too small as well. Nice find anyway
  9. haha, nice job! We still need that walking carpet though ;D
  10. as long as you didn't put any chrome tape on your detonator/o2 can
  11. if you're going for the screen accurate look you should NOT put any rivets in that kneeplate... better check the source before claiming such things!
  12. Awesomeness... pure and utter awesomeness! I need to get myself a mannequin
  13. And while we're at it: Yep, that guy took some amazing shots, but for some odd reason he preferred my back, rather than taking a cool full shot. The only one where you can see me properly would be this one from the parade:
  14. That's Karsten Kremer, he bought Mark FBJ's old rig, and yep, he couldn't be happier Oh, and we told him he's supposed to wear that holster on the right side, but he wouldn't listen.
  15. I love the "I blinked" one, gotta try it myself
  16. the hot chick turns out to be his sister, AFTER they made out with each other... yuck! Seriously! I rather stick to my stunt lid and be one of the crowd
  17. I pulled both thighs a little higher, not much actually, but it helped a lot. The helmet is pretty neat, but trooping was a mess - I know why Luke was complaining!
  18. I actually have... but I can't afford it right now, might be an option for a future project though
  19. btw, these pics made me redo my legs once again, so I finally get rid of my left thigh riding over the kneeplate. I reopened the seam at the back on the thigh, refitted it slightly and also shortened the strap on both, so I can now get them just a little higher, which makes all the difference! The thigh is now high enough for the knee not to get caught anymore - score! Here is a dodgy pic:
  20. The grappling hook was recently done by Russrep - but I'm not happy with it as it's WAAY oversized. The belt box is scratchbuilt, vacformed box over some MDF and other weird stuff added to it. It's not functional Here's a pic: It's not completely screen accurate in size either, as I had to find a way to make the grappling hook look good and not ridiculously oversized. So the box is slightly oversized and deeper than it should be. I also added a black switch to it after that pic was taken. edit: New pic of the box:
  21. Well, I had to give it a try... but I'm still a huge stunt enthusiast. Now even more so. The hero looks good on the shelf though
  22. I can confirm it's not SDS - it's quite obviously FX armour. Steer clear
