    I'm still waiting on them sending me a sniper plate, which was missing from the delivery. Plus, they're shorter, so i'd have more black showing. When (if) the sniper plate turns up, i'll get kitted up again and see what they're like in comparison

    As long as it's not the acetone-free version Yes, I stole some of my wife's for this purpose.

    Not 100% required but most shoes have 'some sort' of coating, or finish. If this isn't removed - or at least roughed-up - then the white paint won't adhere very well and will flake easily. I know that's kinda screen accurate but - personally - I like nice white boots

    14 months? Wow! I've had my 1st TK cleared, converted a CfO TK to shock trooper, built a centurion RWA kit and almost finished an RS ESB kit in that time <br> I respect your patience

    Yeh, a lot of work to get it up to scratch. (I got mine to EIB, and they can reach centurion, but I wouldn't do another SDS)

    Elastic straps at rear of boot, connected to inside rear of shin.<br><br> I use velcro for shin attachment and snaps to loop the elastic through the rear tabs of boots.
