  1. Excellent work, mate. Centurion shouldn’t be too far off! Try to get it done before you get UKG branded, as Centurion requires you to have no visible branding
  2. Well done again, Daniel. And yep, get your EIB application up here before you have a UKG brand to deal with!
  3. Hey folks, I’ll be travelling from Scotland to New York city next weekend. The missus has an itinerary of the usual touristy stuff for us to do but I’d appreciate any recommendations for Star Wars related attractions, cool shops and excellent pig-out eateries
  4. Cool, hope you get it sorted
  5. Ask Anna who painted short trooper’s battle buddy - they seemed to make a good job of that.
  6. Right, gotcha. My SDS kit had butt joints on the front facing glued parts. The backs were all open with velcro fastening. curious that they would glue overlaps
  7. I think it’s something like Stelmax 1985. Why are you trying to take bits apart? There may be an alternative?
  8. Ask them how tall a stormtrooper should be...
  9. Hi, good luck on the build At least a couple of vendors sell extended shins as an extra. I can confirm that RWA shins are a good shade match for RS armour
  10. Run away. Neither of the helmets are approvable, (most) of the kit looks likeFX, which would need a ridiculous amount of work. Save your money and buy from an approved vendor
  11. Do you have some close-ups of the shin rears?
  12. Exactly that! If a member has a particular personal objection to a local approved troop, simply don't sign up. I'm happy that in most cases, we're making money for our supported charities. Whether it's trooping at a football stadium, shopping centre, hospice visit or anything in between. I'm not religious, but I trooped at a church, for a Star Wars fan's wedding. They made a donation to our fund, so it's a win!
  13. Neither do half of the troops we're asked to attend...
  14. Personally, I couldn't care less what sexuality people are... But if groups of people want to get together for their own reasons, where lies the problem?
  15. Try to get photos without the light source behind them And photos showing the bicep cover strips more clearly would be good. The forearms look ok apart from the glueing issue. But we need better straight-on pics of the cover strips there, too. You might have left too much ridge.
  16. Can you post this up over on your WIP, on the UKG forum? Also, get the all round photos of the completed parts up there (on their own, not on you).
  17. No, they don't have to be on you, just photos of the completed parts
  18. Omar, can you post up some all-round photos of the biceps, forearms and leg parts?
  19. Not to mention two sniper plates! Anyway, didn't stop me from ordering one
  20. Great to see all those bucks!
  21. I have a set of Ross' 2mm acrylic capped TK armour. Superb bit of kit, which went together beautifully - Everything just seemed 'easy', compared to the other kits i've either assembled, part assembled or helped put together for other people. The 2mm AC is something else - trickier to cut, being thicker than normal but truly solid stuff. The service is second to none. Always willing to answer questions, no matter how daft they may sound! His supply of spare bits and pieces is excellent - I've had to order various bits and pieces to replace knackered parts of my SDS kit, extended shins (great for the taller trooper), all of which have been delivered in good time, and at a price I kinds thought too cheap at times (but don't tell him I said that ) A proper gent to deal wilth and i'd have no hesitation whatsoever ordering from him again. Here's my 2mm RWA kit:
  22. I trimmed all of my last TK with the curved lexans in a couple of hours. Maybe closer to an hour
  23. I didn't use a rotary tool at all on mine... just curved lexan scissors and sandpaper
