  1. Is anyone out there making fully finished F11-D blasters or rifles? Thought I had a vendor lined up but they stopped taking orders. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. POST 23 Here are a few of my favorites from the past couple of years, all in Tampa, FL, US. Tampa Bay Squad, Florida Garrison: December 2017 at Star Wars Night at the Tampa Bay Lightning: 1. October 2018 at Tampa Police Memorial Run: 2, August 2019 at Tampa Bay Comic Con (never annoy a Wookiee!) 3. Last but not least, a virtual troop activity from 2020, this one was a 'Stormtrooper at Home': 4.
  3. Hey Jennifer! Welcome to FISD, the Florida Garrison, and Tampa Bay Squad territory! I’m the Tampa Bay Squad Leader and we’ve got a large and active group of troopers here. If you haven’t done so already, register and introduce yourself on the FLG forum: https://www.fl501st.com/index.html We also have a new recruits and builds page group on Facebook where you can get lots of help and meet squad members: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1911572342476326/?ref=share Hope to meet you soon! 4. Absolutely! May not be as pretty inside the bucket as others, but it works for me! :-)
  5. I have the UKSWRATH audio and fan setup in my bucket and I’m very pleased with it. I love that everything is in the bucket, no wires to run down and out to connect somewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have the hovi mic tip audio system from UKSWRATH here on the boards, everything is inside the bucket, along with 2 fans. Very pleased with how everything works. Let me know if you want more info. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Awesome design Jason, congratulations!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Good to see this, would be great to have a source of replacement parts if they can actually ship when promised. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks! I've got plenty of extra ABS and that's what I did, seemed like the logical approach. I'll take your advice and do a preemptive strike on the chest piece!
  10. Just curious, how exactly did you reinforce the cracks? I'm about 40 troops in with my armor and the first small crack has appeared down near the bottom of the butt plate.
  11. Have no fear Robert! I've had my Anovos kit for over a year and I've had no problems at all with it, and I've taken it to Centurion level. There are also numerous other TK's in my squad with the armor that are happy with it as well. I also received the same bit of 'attitude' when I initially told people where I purchased my armor from, which happens more than it should unfortunately. I think you'll see troopers tend to prefer the armor they own, which makes sense. Another factor (and this is just my opinion) is that when this armor first came out, it was quite a bit cheaper than other makers and obviously that would annoy folks who paid more. It also opened the door to a lot more TK's joining the ranks. The vast majority of troopers are happy about this, but you'll always find a few that don't feel the same way. Anyway, don't worry about anyone giving you a hard time and good luck with your build!
  12. I purchased mine in the first wave pf preorders back at $350 and it was literally the offer you couldn't refuse. It took about 9 months to get it and I expected that so I have nothing negative to say on that, it was worth the wait. I've been wearing it now for a little over a year, about 35 troops and it's held up really well. I honestly think it looks just as good now as the day I finished assembly. It's the only armor I've ever owned so I can't say how it is vs. other makers, other than it works for me and has carried me to Centurion level. I have not experienced any cracking or breaks like some folks, I think different people have different experiences with any brand of armor. Just do a good job with your build, take care of it during and after each troop, and avoid situations where you might cause damage to it such as trying to sit, bending over too far, etc.
  13. You're good to go, nothing to worry about. I'm an ANOVOS Centurion and you will see very slight differences in shades of white between different troopers but that's fine.
  14. I think experiences will vary. My ANOVOS armor is over a year old with 32 troops in and it still looks as good as new. No cracks or damage anywhere. I assure you that I'm not babying it at all, a solid mix of indoor, outdoor, short, and long troops. I think as with anything, build it well and take care of it and it will hold up. Again, just my experience but I hope you have a similar one.
