  1. Thanks for the update. I also fixed your quote tags.
  2. Which armor makers bicep do you have?
  3. We are not replacing decals with hand painted details, we are talking about including them with. So anyone with decals is fine for elite status regardless of any hand painted option should the standards get updated.
  4. Yep, the time listed is just the time until the liquid turns solid. With most 5 min glue/epoxy the handling time is from 15 minutes to an hour, and full cure is 7-24 hours. Read the label and be patient.
  5. Actually he is 6 foot 210, at least that is what he told me.
  6. TX armor wearing folks are welcome here just like everyone else. Besides this is the best resource out there for assembling and upgrading stormtrooper armor (of any color), so by all means let the TXs come on by.
  7. Since your 5'8" and 175 go with the AP. RT is geared for bigger troopers.
  8. The 2 Hasbro blasters are identical. Also Cushman does not offer a resin blaster, it's vac formed plastic.
  9. I glued my thighs and shins in 2 sections. For example, I'd glue and clamp the top and hold the top half of the seam for 10 minutes then let it fully cure. A few hours later (or the next day) I'd do the bottom half. Hope that helps.
  10. If you are going to reshape it use hot water, not the microwave. When you shape it hit it with cold to set the plastic again.
  11. FISD Rules and Guidelines: 1. No insulting or degrading others armor PERIOD. This is a place of learning and sharing information, and everyone has a different level of commitment. However, if something is very relevant, new, and adds something to the discussion, by all means post it. 14. Take responsibility for how your posts may be interpreted. If you meant it one way, and multiple people interpreted it another, maybe it's not necessarily their fault for reading it wrong. Maybe it's because of how it's written. 12. Not quite. You can be a Stormtrooper, and Sandtrooper: dirty, backpack, pauldron, and big gun, or a heavy weapons trooper: clean armor, backpack, pauldron, and big gun. There is no option for a clean Stormtrooper with just a pauldron in the 501st. Yes there are troopers with that on their profile picture, but as 501st requirements change members do not have to resubmit profile pictures.
  13. For 900 £ you could get everything separately and either come out cheaper, or with a higher quality costume.
  14. Actually all ANH helmets were hand painted. We allow stickers for elite as an acceptable alternative to hand painting. The elite standards aren't 100% movie accurate, but are simply a raised bar over the 501st requirements.
  15. Thanks for the pic Mike, that just went into the reference folder.
  16. My official recommendation, go with the one that you like the best. After all you have to be satisfied with it.
  17. The front page is amazing, much better in my opinion. I also like the forum background too.
  18. It does, but it looks like you trimmed your thighs from the top and didn't get the slope downwards on the inside (groin side) of the thighs. Keep in mind in the picture the stormtroopers are running and their armor isn't exactly right, but you can see the contour. The FX and RT doesn't have it exact but the general shape is there. Remember the armor has to fit you, not a 5'9" 160 lb extra in a costume. Overall, your doing a great job trooper.
  19. I thought most people glued it on top of the speaker box/ mini counter that is on the hasbro blaster?
  20. Post a straight on shot of the face and I can tell you for sure if it is GF or AP.
  21. OK, what are the other references. I saw the pictures of the action figure, and I've seen the artwork on the Legion boards, but what are the other 2 usable reference. Spanos said that action figures couldn't be used as a references, and I'm not about to hit Rhonda up about it wit the game being 4 months away.
  22. There are no rules as what material has to be used. As long as it is black, non see through, and snug fitting you will be fine.
  23. Kevin, the links need to be fixed. Thanks for posting the info on them.
