  1. You want to wait 24 hours between primer and paint. When you paint you lay 3 coats and wait 5 minutes between coats. Now that you have 1 coat of paint down, wait 5 days before painting again or else it won't turn out well.
  2. The battle spec is fine out of the box.
  3. Patience, it hasn't even been a day yet.
  4. Low temp hot glue and gun, high temp glue is way too hot and can damage the helmet.
  5. The real question here is where to get the cool egg holders.
  6. Mow, your trooper looks excellent. EIB approved.
  7. The only hitch I see is that the seam between the chin and frown is not filled. Getter filled and your good to go.
  8. It's not Alex, one Alex doesn't have TE2 armor, and two he's in the wrong state.
  9. It's also very thin and my not hold up. Most armor makers use 80 or 90 gauge plastic and he's using 60.
  10. The other option is to buy it and try to trade for white. I know the TXs are always talking about not having enough black armor to fill demand.
  11. Only pic missing is one showing the filled seam where the frown and chin meet on the MRCE. It's not listed in the EIB requirements because it's a Legion one, but not all GMLs double check it.
  12. EIB approved. Let me know which picture you want for your profile, or if you have a different one post it up. Congrats trooper.
  13. We also need a picture showing the lens color.
  14. For getting straight lines, use painters tape the cut along the edge. As for the chunk out of the forearm, can you cut a tapered edge from the end of the button strip down to the edge. The continue it on the other piece for a uniform look? Any chance the forearms are too long for you and you'll need to trim them down anyway?
  15. I know there are metric measurements floating around here somewhere, but the US approximates are 5/8 inch arms, 7/8 inch for the legs, and 1 inch for the shin backs.
  16. I use 1 inch on the arms, and 2 inch on the thighs.
  17. Sorry for the late update. EIB granted, congrats trooper.
  18. The forearms do not overlap, that's only FX and RT that clamshell together. All others butt joint, meaning they touch side-by-side and a strip on top is what holds them together.
  19. Also with HIPS you can use model glue to glue and fuse it back together.
  20. Great looking rig trooper. EIB approved.
  21. It's an unnecessary FX accessory. Throw it in the scraps and parts bin and you may need them someday.
  22. First pinned thread in "Getting Started - Read this First!"
  23. Yes we're going to need larger pictures, and detail shots of the helmet and blaster. You can use photobucket or flickr to host them. The last two are a perfect size.
  24. We have Expert Infantry.
  25. I believe there is a squad in Badlands Garrison for the Vancouver area. But when you join the 501st you always join the home garrison since squads are a subset.
