  1. Wow, you are almost ready for EIB from the start. About the only suggestions I can make are to shorten the drop box straps and add one piece of T-track to the blaster to cover the row of holes.
  2. That happened when I tried to dye a pair of boots for a friend. Now you get to remove it all and use the NuLife spray if you want a nice even and perfect finish. But remember the originals were far from perfect. Just depends on how you want it to look.
  3. Great looking armor trooper. EIB approved.
  4. Well for what it's worth, E-6000 will hold up believe it or not. But the rivets will not interfere with your achieving EIB. Just make sure to paint the heads white.
  5. Here is an announcement about the census. We have hundreds of status requests on the Legion roster. Please be patient as we work through the list, as this is a manual process and the FISD is a little larger than the average detachment. Also if you are a Legion member and want to be added to the Legion roster, you can request the add in the MembershipDB tab on the left of the Legion forum menu. Also your FISD profile must have your four digit TKID in the 501st ID section or you will not be seen when we run the FISD roster as the two lists are compared by TKIDs. That is all.
  6. Could you use cog cuff links as a base?
  7. Intentionally not posted here because of the issues it caused on the Legion boards.
  8. Here is a pic of the back of my thigh:

    Boots

We had that back when Mark Cheng was in business. Unfortunately even though the 501st is a large organization, we don't buy thousands of pairs of boots a year, and that is what manufacturing is looking at. When I was looking for accurate boots (yes to paint) I couldn't find any in my size and contacted several companies and was told there was not enough demand for size 12 or 13 to warrant making them.
  11. No I didn't. I'll take some pics of my thighs tonight.
  12. When people do that the threads tend to go unchecked. For a smooth and quick process it's better to submit when your all set.
  13. Generally you want to make the fronts accurate and cheat in the back. On my thighs, I didn't trim the backs down to the mold line and put a correct sized strip over the seam. I'll try and dig up a picture of it so you can see.
  14. Lowes, Home Depot, Ace. You may have to sand the end a little as any burr may keep the cap from going on. 2 inch PVC is what you need.
  15. I think the best advise I've heard was to troop alot and not polish your armor.
  16. The velcro that comes with the FX kit is only worthy of the garbage can. It's total junk that won't last through one troop.
  17. To tighten up the but plate run an elastic strap from the bottom of the but plate to the cod. How wide is the canvas/cloth belt?
  18. I use craft foam found at most craft stores.
  19. As long as the cut is covered by the belt it's no problem.
  20. Are you doing it through the FISD or passport hub? http://passport.imperialhub.com/index.php?
  21. Right now the holdup is the helmet. You need to decide if you are going with a stunt or hero configuration, and make the appropriate changes. Your off to a great start.
  22. The 501st has a detachment for non-canon sith. http://www.theflagshipeclipse.com/
  23. EIB approved, sorry for the delay. Nice job trooper.
  24. The red backed photo is an ESB Vader.
