  1. Your hand I'd assume. Wear some thick work gloves. Also, while this thread is up, do you use a dremel to cut the bell shorter and then use sandpaper to smooth out the edge?(medium 100 I think)
  2. PM DMAC. He's got some really nice helmet padding. He should have a thread or two on the first few pages of the For Sale forum
  3. As I come down to the final bits and pieces of assembling my armor, I began to wonder how everyone's assembled their belts. I don't have the funds for a canvas belt yet. But I assume that most of you have used these.
  4. Is the third ABS Strip what you used from the FX kit to make the little snap holder?
  5. Maybe try fitting it into a Comm Unit? Then you can really have use for that prop!
  6. Longshot here, but maybe you could cut out one of the gray and black parts of the ears (bumpy part) and make it so you could push down on it to send radio?
  7. What's good for removing glue that squeezed out of the seam? I forgot to use painters tape in my haste.
  8. Shiny gray? Or like a smoke color? If its a smoke you want then TK-1422 is your man. He might even be able to make you some shiny ones if you ask him. Not entirely sure though.
  9. Well when I'm sanding it, I'm not sure if it's gone. The color is still there. But I'm PRETTY sure that it is gone.
  10. While assembling my last calf piece, I didn't get enough glue on the center part, so I took it apart and let it dry. Can I just glue over it or, sand it then glue over it?
  11. Even though I'm not UK, Devcon Plastic Welder, if you can grab it. It works VERY well.
  12. Yeah I'm using pop rivets I guess. I better start shaving down the excess and then buy some button ones then. :/ Also, will a regular metal file be sufficient in shaving them down? Might as well throw this in here as well, do I rivet my abs belt to the strips provided, then to the ab, then velcro in the back? 2 rivets on either side of the belt and then just a wrap around, correct?
  13. No'l I'm still amazed by your rework. Any chance of you reworking mine if I paid/sent mine to you? (I bought a new one! LOL!)
  14. Do you think I could just glue the knee plate onto the knee? I just used a few rivets without having them attached to the kneeplate and they popped out perfect, looked perfect, etc. But when I just tried it with the knee plate it's like the riveter doesn't even want to hold onto the rod.
  15. I just had a bad experience with the rivets. The rod, I guess, was stuck inside the riveter and wouldn't come out. Wouldn't snap it either. We ended up cutting out the rivet from my calf knee/knee plate with some wire cutters but now the riveter is toast. Don't know where I went wrong, I drilled a hole, place the rivet in with the head on the INSIDE and then placed the rod inside the riveter.
  16. One LAST question about the calves, is there a definitive right and left? I think I saw a thread about it around here somewhere but I can't find it.
  17. I was right! It was just like the forearms, I don't know why I thought otherwise. After reading my past post in this thread I just felt stupid, also because I didn't see the part where TK6327 explained how they closed. I'm such a dumb a very impolite person Thanks for all the help guys!
  18. Could someone post some up close pics of the calves and how they're supposed to close and fit together? Thanks a bunch.
  19. I'll take one of the TE2s off your hand
  20. Yeah I bought some industrial velcro. Also, how do I close the calves? I'm assuming its just like the forearms where one piece fits inside the other? I wished I had a camera, this would be so much easier.
  21. For the FX kit. I'm having such a hard time figuring out how to get these buggers to stay together. I'm planning on gluing the front seam and velcroing the back.
  22. This just turned into anger and fighting, albeit for the sake of finding out a new degree of accuracy(?)
  23. Oh crap! I was supposed to sand it?! Maybe that's why! Haha, wow. That goo gone stuff would get rid of the E6000 residue right?
  24. Would that be better for this type of thing? E6000 held my blaster together with the conversion kit (doopydoos) just fine. I didn't have to hold it together or anything. I can get it at walmart right?
  25. I've run into a slight problem when assembling my first piece (the forearms). The E6000 doesn't seem to be bonding to the plastic very well. Any tips?
