  1. I'd trade my MR CE for that.
  2. Wow I think I might trooper around if it's going to be that nice on Wed!
  3. Well, the forums seem a little empty lately. I find myself refreshing the page when I'm not busy or when I'm bored for something new. I've been getting a little more into Gundam stuff lately. Drawing stuff for my art class (I gotta post it later if/when I finish it! ). Planning on buying a Zaku model kit soon to keep me occupied. I've found that I really like putting things from fantasy worlds together. It brings me a sense of fulfillment that I can't really find anywhere else, I guess it's allowing me to bring what I want to life in a way. What about you guys?
  4. Judging by his proportions against the scale of the armor I'm guessing he's somewhere around my size. 5'8'' to 5'10'' ish
  5. I've never assembled an AP kit, but I assume the strips go on the front of the calves
  6. I currently have both front and back velcroed so that the next owner, if I decide to sell, could easily trim or shim them to their size. I'm thinking about gluing only the front though.
  7. Fixed. Thanks all. I had to uninstall and then actually delete the app folder.
  8. Ahhh, but I'm running XP.
  9. Everything is checked on the privacy screen except for clear my private data when I close firefox.
  10. I'm using v3.0.3 I have the "Always clear my private data etcetc" unchecked. It's doing this for all sites.
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the original suits contain no padding?
  12. I've reinstalled and everything, but it still won't save anything. It's more of an annoyance than anything to have to reenter information ALL the time. I've tried adding exceptions and whatnot but nothing I've tried works. Any ideas? Thanks. -Alex
  13. Yeah I'm taking this time right now to put the finishing touches on my suit. Still considering going sandy. . (Selling the suit for funds *gasp* ) If I don't decide to go sandy I'll still sell it for a TE2/ap. This hobby is so crazy. So many things to do! So many choices! I got your email snoopy, thanks again! I can't wait to get it. I'm guessing I'd like to stay in the 20s for the rest of my life, but then again, I hear that the 30s are the best time of your life.
  14. Pretty sure it's good to go, might need a change of tube stripes but I could be wrong!
  15. They're expensive. From what I understand, the MR LE and EFX LE are both made by the same people. Very good quality. Starwarshelmets.com has a very nice comparison and from what I've heard they're both very accurate, with wonky details.
  16. This isn't the first time age has been a gimp for me. I understand the whole legal issues thing though. Oh, what a woild!
  17. With my first MRCE I had a slight scratch on the top too, from when I sliced the tape off the top part of the box. I underestimated the distance from the plastic and tape to the lid.
  18. Do you guys think that my lower front torso is too low?
  19. I was rereading the requirements for entry into the 501st and I must have overlooked one of the first rules: Are you over 18? Drat! No I'm not! I'm so let down right now, even though I've only got about a month to go before I'm 18, I'm too excited to wait that long!
  20. I used screws and velcro for the thigh ammo strip. Two screws (1/8 inch thick, maybe slightly larger SLIGHTLY for a nice tight fit, not sure how long) on either side with a small strip of velcro in the center to keep it from sagging. I had rivets in my knee plate, but they failed horribly (maybe a poor riveter) so now I have some screws in there as well. Going to be replacing them with the same screws I have my thigh strip.
  21. It's really simple. Just remove the "foam padding" from around the lenses to reveal three itty bitty screws. Just unscrew the old ones and screw in the new ones.
  22. Both are still in production, I hope neither of them mind if I PM you their details.
  23. They are both very nice armor sets. TE2 is made of HIPS and AP is made of ABS plastic. Both are durable if cared for properly, but neither are flimsy weak plastics. Both will get you into the 501st easily with little to no mods. Both will fit you perfectly. I've PMed you the prices since we aren't allowed to post them on the boards. PS: TE2 needs to be painted whereas AP does not.
  24. Yep, the helmet is fine without completely tearing it apart. Congratulations! Hope to see your armor finished and whatnot soon!
