  2. A quick question about fans, I'm running 1 fan off a 9v battery with an on/off switch wired between..I want to put them into my lid, but after 10mins of continual use the battery becomes incredibly hot and I'm loathed to put it anywhere near my head. Has anyone else had anything like this happen?
  3. I've not had much problems with the snaps..I bought the plier thingies that are for them..they seal those babies right up no messing. I used the flatter side of the snap on my squares of plastic..they sit much flusher...now riveting, thats my pet peave

  11. Thanks Terrell, thought that was the case - cheers
  12. so the last piece of my armour left to glue are the thigh pieces. I've trimmed them to fit snuggly round my thighs and am coming to glue them. Before I do I wanted to ask, if the front seams are supposed to be at the front of my leg, or off to the side nearer my hip. I've seen both versions, but which is the correct method before I attach the ammo boxes? Cheers
  13. I used a product called RemoveZit - it works wonders, just take a small bit on a cloth and gently work it over the tube stripes and they will come off in about 5mins with no effort (just be carefull as that stuff REALLY shifts paint from plastic)
  14. You can also get them from John Lewis Terry, but they are a bit more expensive than hobbycraft
  15. Congrats Terry, hey everyone..wait for me, hope I can get my suit ready for the end of nov
  16. Cheers Alex, I'll try and find some here..yeah it is an FX, I have decided to go the TD route and seeing as this is my first build, I'm going to try that and if it comes out well, I'll try my hand at a more accurate suit for my TK
  17. I've seen lots of armour builds on here, and as of today - it's now my turn As I didn't get any ABS Glue, can any of the UK people recommend any as I'd like to purchase some..wish me luck with my project
  18. Hey Steve...looks great - are those garrison members free to help out when my shipment arrives? I think I'm too slow at this building lark..I've still not finished any of my 'projects'

  22. Okay, today I removed the ears on my MRCE..god those things just didn't want to come off, (I bow down to those that were able to get theirs off without wrecking them) they were glued with the worlds strongest glue..I had to litterally knacker them to get them off..hence this topic. I was going to replace them anyway, but could someone point me in the direction of someone that can offer replacement ears that will fit the MRCE?
